Jan 6 committee investigating the trump-incited Insurrection
announces they are referring trump worshipper, Jeffrey Clark,
for criminal contempt.

Learned yesterday that a key aide to VP Pence has agreed to cooperate with the investigation.   This dude knows where all the bodies are buried, assuming he talks.

Mark Meadows had agreed to cooperate with the Jan 6 committee investigation.

Then he got a call from Trump.

Today he's saying he will not cooperate with the investigation.

After 9/11, big law in DC/Wall Street rushed to defend terrorists. They saw huge opportunity to avoid corporate doc review and tackle meaty constitutional issues. No career downside. Same incentives exist for the Jan 6 guys, but no one wants to touch it. 

That’s all you need to know. 

Can we please have a legitimate hearing on how 2 innocent, unarmed women were murdered inside the Capitol by law enforcement officers? That would be a good start! Just so everybody is clear. The Insurrection took place on November 3rd, 2020!

to block LEGAL subpoenas

Meadows is asking a federal court to block enforcement of the subpoena
the committee issued him as well as the subpoena it issued to Verizon
for his phone records, according to the complaint filed Wednesday.

The lawsuit comes after the committee signaled it would pursue
a criminal contempt referral against Meadows.

That case can be made, sure, but it's very likely the republican party as it stands today will be voted in as majority next year anyway

the Capitol riot by documents provided by former White House
chief of staff Mark Meadows will soon be revealed by House
investigators, a key congressman said Monday.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), chair of the House select
committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, told reporters
that the documents were “quite revealing.”
