In an interview on Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell
signaled ongoing interest in the House's investigation into the
January 6th attack.

"I think it's fact-finding, it's interesting, we're all going to be watching it."

He went on to call the January 6 storming of the US Capitol
-incited by Donald Trump - a "horrendous event," before adding:
        "I think that what they're seeking to find out
        is something the public needs to know," he said.

Moscow Mitch seems to be all over the map on this and related issues.  Never sure where he stands.

In his recently published memoir, Peter Navarro, then-President Trump’s trade adviser, says he and right-wing provocateur Steve Bannon were actually behind the last-ditch coordinated effort by rogue Republicans in Congress to halt certification of the 2020 election results and keep President Donald Trump in power earlier this year, in a plan dubbed the “Green Bay Sweep” - with help from members of Congress loyal to the cause.

“We spent a lot of time lining up over 100 congressmen, including some senators. It started out perfectly. At 1 p.m., Gosar and Cruz did exactly what was expected of them,” Navarro told The Daily Beast. “It was a perfect plan. And it all predicated on peace and calm on Capitol Hill. We didn’t even need any protestors, because we had over 100 congressmen committed to [cheating].”

Urging for Republican lawmakers to “put country over party,” Rove contested that “true patriotism” required an honest examination of the motives and dangers posed by the insurrection, namely that the rioters were encouraged by Trump to stop the certification of the election with force.

House January 6 committee now has
all the White House records
which Trump desperately tried to hide

The House select committee investigating January 6 has received all 700-plus pages from the National Archives that former President Donald Trump had tried to block the panel from receiving.

The records now in the committee's possession could help answer some of the most closely guarded facts of what happened between Trump and other high-level officials on January 6, 2021, and fill in key holes in the committee's investigation.

The Archives said in a court filing in October that the records Trump wanted to keep secret include handwritten memos from his chief of staff Mark Meadows about January 6, call logs of the then-President and former Vice President Mike Pence, and White House visitor records.
