Well, regardless of what anyone believes about Dr. Ford's testimony (& I believe her and think he's lying). should be pretty obvious to all that Kavanaugh doesn't belong anywhere near a seat on the highest court in the land. Beyond revealing himself to be ultra-partisan which should be disqualifying in itself, the alternate combination of anger, emotionality, sarcasm & immaturity which he displayed in the hearing was embarrassing & sad to watch given he's an actual SC nominee. At times, he looked & sounded like a frustrated, lost teenager running into his own "hole in the soul" from his past..at others the sneering &  entitled/privileged preppy who was livid about even being questioned.

You can generally tell alot about the solidity & quality of folks from their behaviour under stress & pressure & we got a pretty good look at Kavanaugh. Wasn't pretty & reminded me a bit of a cross between a defiant, guilty adolescent & Jerry Lundegard being interviewed by Margie in the movie Fargo when he drove away.

What’s really sad is the fact that even though he has been through 6 FBI  background checks and a 36 year old allegation that can’t be corroborated he still can’t get confirmed.  He has been vetted more than any other Supreme Court nominee.  We are now at the point in this country where mere allegations can keep you from getting or keeping a job.  I don’t blame him one bit for losing his cool.  This has been an utter embarrassment.  Yale, entitled frat boy  must be stopped.  Now he’s being judged harshly for this?   Wow, how impartial of the Dems.  They demand a 7th FBI background/ investigation and say no matter the results they won’t vote for him.  They say he must be guilty of rubbing her(not rape) because we believe her.  Never mind she produced ZERO facts or people to back up her claims.  She was questioned with softballs and drooled all over the rest of the time. Kavanaugh on the other hand has been attacked through this whole process.  12 years on the 2nd highest court and no complaints. Hundreds of friends and co workers, male and female vouching for him.  But no, we believe the lady with 2 front doors and admitted mental health problems.  I must say I have more empathy for women that were actually raped or abused.  They are the ones that deserve our undivided attention.  Not someone ( if it’s even true) that was inappropriately rubbed 36 years ago at the age of 15 by a 17 year old while you were both drinking.  


This is what we need to do...............
Full FBI background checks on all 100 Senators.  Dating back to grade school.  If any of them touched alcohol or the opposite sex they will automatically be removed from office.  All the FBI will be looking for is “allegations” and that will be enough to disqualify them.  If any of them ever got angry, automatically out.  Let’s clean up the Senate and start over.  

Or, we can keep the status quo.

Yale friend North Carolina state university  has come forward with a statement saying that Kavanaugh was a heavy drinker in college described him as aggressive and belligerent when drunk. And admitted drinking with him. This alone is perjury’s

He was getting drunk in college????  Life in prison, no parole. Anyone that was drinking in college should not hold any position with authority. How do we weed out these scoundrels?

He lied under oath. “ I did not drink to excess”,”, they. Called me pukesalot because of my stomach not because of my drinking”. Lying under oath is a crime.  He badgered a defendant as a Judge you did not have a drinking problem than neither did I. 

He got stupid Drunk and violated Dr Ford as captain of the football team in high school and continue through college.

Definitely JJ... The libs are off the rails once again and this is just way over the line. The man can't defend himself, it's still America and we still have a system of due process. The left wants to abolish ICE and the most basic principles of our legal system, and if you don't agree with them your anti-women. The sane in the country aren't going to stand for this. The country is on a roll and the dems act like it's 1929. Every measurable statistic supports the most successful POTUS in the last 30 years but don't expect the libs to acknowledge any of it...

Believe me, I hear you & understand what you're saying. My belief & thoughts are only based on all I've read & seen/heard from Cavanaugh's Fox interview along with the senate hearing with them both. And of course, I could be wrong. Though I believe Ford's account of what actually happened between her & Cavanaugh, doesn't mean I necessarily believe all elements of her account. The toughest part of her acct for me was not knowing how she got home & to a lesser extent how she got there. I'm no therapist or sex abuse counselor & understand that memory loss in these cases are common, but while she described in detail having only 1 beer & all the particulars of everything until she got out the door, hard for me to understand unless she was drunk herself (entirely possible & doesn't take much at that age if it was within her 1st few times of drinking) how her memory suddenly shut down & couldn't remember how she got home. Would like to know the exact notes her therapist took later & a definitive answer on when she 1st claimed the attack was by Kavanaugh by name.

Anyhow, all these things point to needing a full investigation for the sake of all. Even if it took 2 weeks...still more than enough time for a vote/confirmation or not before the midterms. Including Swetnick where there is a greater chance of uncovering more clarity & shedding much more light on the situation & Kavanaugh. That is unless the truth is not really wanted to be known & exposed by Trump & the leading repubs.

As far as the time lapse & the "boys will be be boys" argument, that's a crock of BS. I grew up in a male dominated world & was a surfer /jock at a large high school in Houston & went to many a drinking/pot party in my jr & sr years. And drank far more than my share & made some bonehead decisions while playing the fool more than once. But it would have NEVER occurred to me to throw down a girl & take advantage of her in any way or that that could even possibly be OK. That kinda stuff goes much more to attitude & character than just making a bad, drunken decision.

Agree with what you said here. Guilty or not, high school/college whatever the guy is an obviously biased hack. His rant reminded me of a sloppy Zerohedge thread where the partisan throw up is so obviously amature it is laughable. Is he interested in making a positive, unbiased impact for the country or crying about Trump backlash and that evil Clinton?

Stand above this twitter, media quagmire and act like you belong in the position. The more I read about his past and his alliances the more I want this guy the hell out of the picture. I dont care if you are a Repub or Dem, you cannot be so biased that you are actually poisoning this position and abusing this critical opportunity.

Has anyone brought up the possibility Kavanaugh might have been off the wagon during his aggressive and confrontational approach? Why wasn't he asked to take a sobriety test?

I find it extremely hard to believe someone in the United States would like people such as Diane Feinstein, person Durbin, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Jerry Brown, Jerry Nadler et al determine their fate. Ha! Actually the surf along the TX gulf coast is not quite the joke it's purported to be...though definitely somewhat dependent on storms & tropical systems. If you know the area, grew up surfing mostly in a place called Surfside, Galveston & spent alot of water time in the Corpus Christi area as well as South Padre. My surf days are long gone other than a few trips to Mexico & haven't lived in the Lone Star state since the mid 80's. When I was in HS in H-town (late 60's/early 70's), Katy was just a separate, small burg on I-10 west of town.

Stating the absolute obvious Sundance... My God, whatever side N Pelosi, Shumer & Aunt Maxine is on, i'm on the other side, brain dead morons. Country is ROLLING and they talk armageddon... I'm not tired of winning yet. Diane Feinstein is 85 years old and way out of her league... Why on earth would anyone want these people in the least bit of power is beyond me.

It still is. I have a nephew that plays for Tompkins though. I have family in Katy.

I will not be moving along wall. This is the destruction of a qualified Catholic for the SCOTUS. The destruction is coming from the party of no power. The abortion industry is the most impotant industry for a liberal. Imagine that. As you can see the Left will do everything in their power to eliminate Kavanaugh. Impeachment is next should the current strategy fail.We have 2 Democrats on the judiciary committee named Durbin and Blumenthal. Durbin called military members Nazis. Blumenthal lied about his Viet Nam record. This type of behavior is called 'Stolen Valor'. Those are the types of leaders that are held in high esteem by liberals in this forum. I want my fate at this point in time decided by Trump and the Republicans. I approve this message.

On a semi-political note, in a pc move my HS changed it's name from the Westbury Rebels to the Huskies which I thought pretty silly. The entire political landscape sucks these days in a myriad of ways. Biggest culprits? Hard to pinpoint definitively, but the continual dark $$ that continues to pour in & has more far reaching tentacles these days ( wealthy fams/foreign interests, etc) combined with our culture in general & the very profitable but viciously divided ( by design?) 24/7 talking heads & media have alot to do with it.
