Last night I was capping the Florida Derby racing card for this Saturday & all of a sudden I hear on the TV "Here's our guest from Telluride, CO.
You and I were discussing the morality as to whether this town should be free tested for the virus with kits provided by some resident biomedical executives. It turns out their tests is "blood based" not "swab based." So they weren't even using test kits needed for those ill.
They are able to turn around test results within 48 hours unlike other areas where it takes 5 to 6 days.
"It may not be the same restaurant. It may not be the same ownership. But they'll all be back," asked about closing restaurants.
Why would he say something so callous? If successful, why would the restaurant change? Italian changing to Sushi? Why would the ownership change if it didn't already have plans to do so? Oh great! A family restaurant will change to an Applebees!

Trump continues to vacillate between saying we have enough medical supplies and we don't need that many. He doesn't believe 40k ventilators will be needed and this will cost American lives.
His inability to develop and stick to & enhance a plan is abunduntly clear. His outlandish comments make an already worried country even more concerned.
In a crisis our leader must be honest and consistent. Trump doesn't possess either of these characteristics in a positive sense.
He is and continues to be derelict in his duty to protect citizens.

Yesterday at his press conference, Trump boasted about his press conference ratings being at the level of Monday night football & the Bachelor.
People are getting sick & dying all over the country, nurses/doctors are working 20 hour shifts, Governors are begging for medical supplies and he's telling the country about his TV ratings.

What he has done in such a short time is just outstanding. He jumped on the travel ban early to the consternation of most democrats and probably you also. Offered Cuomo 16,000 ventilators in 2015, but he declined. No replacement of PPE after the swine flu pandemic by Obama in 2009. The task force he has put together seem to be very credible. Sure he was hopeful that this virus would end in a hurry, but he was wrong. People are scared enough besides having the President scaring them more. You might not think he was quick enough to act on this corona-19 virus, but neither did France, Britain, Germany,and several other countries. Hindsight is always 20-20. Sorry for the rant.
