“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump.” - Kevin McCarthy, circa 2016

    Then more recently:

Even as congressional Republicans this week were threatening to cut off Ukraine aid once and for all, former president Donald Trumpfloated the idea that he would encourage Putin to attack NATO countries that didn’t pay enough; Tucker Carlson set about what was effectively a pro-Russian propaganda tour in which he downplayed Putin’s killing of political opponents; and then top Putin opposition leader Alexei Navalny was reported dead in prison.

This all begs the question - why do so many people from this one party want Putin to continue to get stronger? Are they all on his payroll? (Tucker probably is.)

As for those who are not on his payroll, they most certainly are living up the the Cold War moniker of being “useful idiots.” new_devil

Putin Shares Which U.S. Candidate He Wants To Win The 2024 Election | HuffPost Latest News

See who he wants to win in this interview Huff post posted a couple weeks ago.

But we know who he wants to win and will likely be getting involved like he did in 2020 to turn it towards Biden. If Putin and Trump were such buddies, why did he wait till Biden was in office to go after Ukraine? This Trump is a Putin Puppet is a tired, debunked lie, that has long gotten old. You have any other material?

As Trump continues to gain momemtum despite obvious unconstitutional attempts and bogus feloney charges that the majority of americans see right through, the Left continues to pullout the old, worn, tattered playbook of Russia, Russia, Russia. sleep2

Trump recognizes we are a country drowning in debt and does not allow other countries like Germany to float on our dime. Germany was below the 2% minimum while planning to spend massive amounts for energy purchased from Russia when Trump put his foot down and said no Nordstream II and payup. Shutting down Nordstream II hurt Russia. But no fear, Biden gave the OK.

And Trump recognizes that 65% of NATO do not meet the 2% agreed minimum and will never payup if there is no incentive to do so.

In February 2018 Rueters reported that US special forces killed and wounded 300 in Syria. Over 100 dead were Russian soldiers and Russian military contractors.

April 2018, Trump says; "Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria,” Trump wrote. “Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ‘smart!’ You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!”

American see this and know where Trump stands. (With the United States) They see through the sharade of Trump loves Putin.

And Americans see Biden applying tough sanctions to over 500 Russian Oligarchs. Except two always seem to get away scott-free?? Yelena Baturina and Vladimir Yevtushenkov again skated free of winding up on the list.

    Who are these two?

Baturina, the widow of late Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, built her 1.3 billion dollar fortune through real estate and investments and dined with Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Joe Biden at least once at DC’s Café Milano. For reasons that remain unclear, she transferred $3.5 million in February 2014 to a firm controlled by Hunter and his associate Devon Archer. Archer testified that Baturina separately invested nearly $120 million with his company Rosemont Realty, with which Hunter Biden also was briefly associated. Baturina attended a dinner with then-Vice President Biden and Hunter’s Kazakhstani associates in spring 2014 at Café Milano, Archer told Congress.

Yevtushenkov’s sprawling business empire, Sistema, owns Russia’s largest cellphone provider, MTS, and until 2022 also owned Russian rocket and radar-maker RTI and military drone-maker Kronstadt.

Yevtushenkov allegedly sought to work with Hunter Biden due to a Justice Department investigation of MTS for paying nearly $1 billion in bribes to Uzbekistani officials between 2004 and 2012.

Yevtushenkov acknowledged meeting Hunter Biden at the Ritz-Carlton in Manhattan in March 2012 and laptop records indicate they met again in January 2013 at DC’s Cafe Milano — the same restaurant where Joe Biden allegedly attended other oligarch gatherings — before looking at a commercial real estate development the next day in northern Virginia.

Right.  The russkies are indeed.  Will the republicans put a stop to the russkies efforts to get Trump elected by interfering in our elections again?  Or will they cheer on the communist russkies.

Wants Putin to succeed is one way of puting it. I would say one party doesn't care to involve itself in such affairs. One party doesn't want to continue to finance an unwinnable proxy war, simply to pump more money into defense contractors.

    @Sidehatch

What incentive is there to support Ukraine? "Protecting Europe's bread basket?" We should've never involved ourselves in the first place.

Yes, let’s take Putin at his word because everything he says is true amirite?

Meanwhile, which presidential candidate said he would welcome a Russian invasion of NATO countries? Hint: it’s not Biden!

Why does one party support Russia so much? Ironically, it’s the party of Reagan, who despised the commies. The House GOP seems eager to regurgitate anything Putin says or suggests they should say. Useful idiots indeed

The only people saying it’s an unwinnable proxy war are those who are pro-Putin.
Meanwhile, the rest of the sane world wants to prevent Russian invasions of its neighbors, because we have important relationships with our NATO allies who need our help.

I get it - some politicos don’t believe in helping our allies. And it’s people like that who got us into WW2 by naively believing we could simply ignore the threats from Japan and Germany.

That’s why Republicans like John McCain - whose grandpa stood on the deck of the USS Missouri as the Japanese surrendered - have a far greater understanding of foreign policy than Dotard Trump, who calls our brave vets losers and suckers according to his Chief of Staff John Kelly.

Vintage Trump, must make a stupid grandstanding comment in social media and look like the dope that he is. Yes Trump Syria and their leaders are garbage, we know that...but so is Putin. Putin is an abusive killer leader just as your other buddy in North Korea.

It would be super cool if Trump thought more about being a leader than being first in line to blab on social media like a clown.
