Ahh, I get it now. Actually read that old post. Yes I did post in it my personal beliefs with links in some cases. Sorry it gave you a headache. So me posting back then was combative as it is now.

Someone else bumped the thread as you found out once you looked but partisan will look to blame someone and you take pretty much every opp to blame for any response I make regarding being respectful to others and keeping the rules. To you the issue is partisan, it was partisan back then it will always be partisan because that is how you process and think.

That is why I highly suggest you completely steer clear of interaction with anyone who is not 100% in agreement with you. The lack of ability to treat people with respect even when you completely disagree with them is something you are unable to do on any regular basis. So please for your own sanity and to keep the rules we have here just stop interacting, replying, fighting, baiting others who you disagree with. I dont care what party a member is, when things become personal and rules are broken and abuses happen then I care and only then.

If you feel another member is breaking site rules we suggest you report it and let Covers deal with it, do not retaliate, mock, abuse, annoy, antagonize and whatever other verbs which apply. If you cannot keep a high standard of respect then you should completely avoid the situation.

I have read and I have a copy of the rules. Do my very best to follow them. You don't see me creating threads to antagonize nor do I enter others threads to "troll" as they say. Pretty much confine myself to those few conservative leaning threads that don't get tossed to the PB and sometimes follow those to the PB if I have something to say.

If defending my beliefs and rebutting criticism of same is deemed "combative" than guilty as charged. 

I find your judgements/conclusions wrong. You seemed to like to name call or degrade others that don't think as you as lowly blind "partisans".

The Bolsheviks did the same, we have some Bolsheviks in this sub forum so be careful around here.....they had show trials and all where they paraded their political opponents (anyone who shared a different view on ANY of the party narratives) up in front of the public for sham trials then sent them off to the gulags.  Which is exactly what the radicals want to do with the MAGAs (and they currently are doing).

 That is a funny conclusion, that the left side wants to persecute the Trump followers and on face value without being in this society for the last eight years (and for some the last 50 years watching Trump crap all over society) it might make sense. It seems from a one sided narrative that one group is being spotlighted and not in a positive way and as you put it staged to be then thrown into the gulag. 

What is missing from your narrative is any reasoning WHY that is the case. Why are these followers disliked as you say, but not to the gulag example I dont think but WHY is this the case?

It seems easy enough for me as to the why, so wouldnt it be a better outcome to go to the root of the problem and conclude the entire landscape instead of pinpointing one small section of the whole drama?

This forum is a great example of the exact thing I am referencing, there are several Trump loyalists here and I would suggest that most are abusive, condescending, antagonistic and do the same grandstanding that you suggest is being done to them. The members here on both sides are pointing fingers and abusing each other, Biden fans and obviously Trump fans, so responsibility is not just to one but to everyone in this mess. There have been political divisions in pretty much every single election and every single day because that is human nature but Trump is a derisive divider who bring out the worst in people more than previous politicians. So if people who are zealous follow a politician who abuses people as a platform, what kind of outcome is likely to happen?

The real solution is to find options which are not so extremist as he is and for people to think of others before running them over. People today actually enjoy having the opportunity and platform to smack each other around, that really is how a schmuck like Trump has an audience, people want to hate each other to put each other down, to divide and fight and annoy, to push their extremist personal views onto society as a whole..versus having society has the objective and leaving your biases and anger inside your head. Trump has given the opportunity for the worst in people to be on parade and to be vocalized, he wrecks society and any unity that might exist otherwise. Inciting to divide for the purpose of sole political aspiration is disgusting and that for sure is why the situation you posed exists right now.

 I point out MAGA because that is the group that the regime has been vocal in targeting.  Specifically, Biden's FBI.  But don't kid yourself, the regime is out to protect regime interests and if one of their "own" steps out of line then rest assured they will be targeted appropriately....

I don't discount what you are saying about Trump creating division but the reality behind Trump's entire successful 2016 campaign and subsequent Presidency didn't come as an accident.  What internal and external forces created the environment for him to get elected ??  Similar to 2008 Obama and 2020 Biden, Trump was elected with the mighty help of voters who either had not previously voted (Obama), had not voted since the 90s (Trump) or voted in variance to their historical norms (Biden).  

Life & the world is cyclical and what we are currently seeing is just another part of the curves of the cycles.  Popular phrase used is "elections have consequences"....yes, history leaves us with the consequences of peoples / societies actions.  This will continue in perpetuity.  

Obama was the first cog in the last 30 years for the "curve" to be flipped in any significant way.  "Change" was promised based on a previous cycle of GWOT and the failure of the GFC years.  One could successfully argue that Trump was the flip to counter what happened during Obama's time.  We then saw another flip in 2020 with Biden.

What will be the next direction of the curve?  Do we continue on the path we've seen the last 3 years?  Was the last 3 years enough to result in the pendulum swinging back in the opposite direction?  

If there is no flip, and we continue until 2028 on this same path, I will guarantee one thing.  The pendulum swing 4 years later is going to be a multiple sigma event and it will not be a smooth thing to witness & experience.    

It's not a ""funny"" conclusion at all.  It all makes perfect sense if you pay attention to the facts .  I already outlined them in an earlier post  ;

The DEMs hate Trump just as much as Trump followers, but they are going after the tip of the spear in an effort to kill the whole movement.   DEMs will  do all they can to keep Trump from the WH ever again..... and yet, you ask ""Why"" all this is taking place.

 Your reply lacks consistency and has too much bias. You are one of the group who is thinking the way that I outlined because you are partisan, you are angry you do blame the other side and you want to support a toxic divisive candidate. You are that fringe group who thinks that your personal biases and beliefs are best for society and you vote based on your narrative versus thinking of what is best for others who are not like you.

Does impeachment mean anything? It is a dog chew toy since Clinton and it has no value, so too bad that Trump made enemies and they found reason to go after him..they tried to go after Obama, they are trying to go after Biden so it seems that it is a political waste of time ploy to throw that out there every election cycle but it has no impact. How could someone as you say who had those events, who is hip deep in a fraud case and many other cases STILL be a candidate? It means the public is so divided and blinded by the megaphone that is Trump he still is around, that is the best sign and indicator of EXACTLY my point. 

Politics now is a divisive, extremist, angry, nasty out in the open forum now and people actually engage with tearing each other down because of political differences. The reason why the MAGA group gets heat is they bring it on themselves from extremism. Such shocking, disgusting extremism that it sickens others and brings a sense of disgust for those who are not in the middle of your mania.

A great example of my point is how you had a religious goof ball be VP, someone  who has shocking and inappropriate views being the VP and nobody even went after the guy, to me Pence is a religious extremist and cannot properly act as a public servant for the whole, he is too biased and yet Trump is so blaringly horrible and even more extreme that you had Pence just sitting there with his right wing Christian agenda and it was not even approached. Same goes for the current wack job speaker, this guy is like Pence and even a little further...if you read about his beliefs it is shocking that he is the best the GOP had and only in ultra conservative zoned political area could a guy like that get elected and yet he is speaker. Hardly anyone even knows what a disaster he is and an extremist who should be nowhere near a position of great importance, he cannot properly legislate for those who are not like him, the views are too extreme. Yet not much of any spotlight is on him because Trump is the gutter the open sewer trenches of India of US politics, he is so bad there is nobody who could be worse. The only way the spotlight goes off him is if David Duke got back in the ring, Trump is wrecking everything because that is how he thinks he can win, by being the loudest, most obnoxious, most toxic and abusive guy in the room so nobody else but him will be the center of attention.

THAT is why the MAGA group who tries to elevate him are disliked, when you try to mirror abhorrent then that might get a negative reaction from others who do not share your extremist position.

 What does it say that the GOP cannot find any middle common unifying politician? Trump being one indicator, the speaker joke being the second. How is it that the GOP allows trash to represent them? Dividing, antagonistic, sexist, abusive, then radical religious out of touch representatives?

What you are partisan finger pointing towards the DNC can easily be said about your side as well. You have no unifying common ground options, you have radical, extremists who trash everyone and a few who are left to try and find a place amongst the wacko fringe which is what the GOP has become over the last 10 years or so.

This is the curve I was talking about....balance to counter balance....ying to yang....whatever you want to call it.  These things happen over decades.  Four year POTUS cycles are just part of the equation.  Bush - Obama - Trump - Biden....who is next will help determine what direction you see the cycle either continue or flip direction.  

Trump = radicals on LEFT will get more radical in their quest to reverse new course.  

Biden (whoever they replace him with) = same direction.  RIGHT will divide more.  

The net affect on both sides is that those people in the middle get dragged along in either direction, regardless of their opposition to the radical side. 

Middle LEFT people will by default become considered MORE RIGHT because they don't follow along with the "change".  This is what you've seen the last 4-5 years already.  

Middle RIGHT people will become considered MORE LEFT as the pendulum swings right.  This is what is likely to happen if Trump wins.  Which takes me back to the cycles point, no matter who your 2024 candidates will be.... Trump / Biden / Newsome (top 3 odds as of now) they will ALL create more division amongst the identity politics population (everyone basically).  So regardless, 2024 - 2028 is going to be more of the same.

Right after the 2016 election all we heard was "illegitimate president". "Russia did it".  Then I hear that the president is the one who is the divider. Yeah right. He wasn't even sworn in and the attacks, both illegal and false, had already begun.

The point is that you should not be trusting any of the polls since you claim they are not reliable (right or left). The polls do not show anyone on left is sounding the alarm. I think it was one poll showing Trump leading by a percentage point in the 5 swing states, which is essentially dead even with a sitting president that most on the right consider a corpse. Hardly, a ringing endorsement for Trump either.  I am hoping neither ends up being candidates, which I think is a strong possibility. Certainly, should not be putting stock into any polls a year away from election with such bad candidates for each side.
