In a conversation over the weekend that reportedly left the President “shaken,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Donald Trump that if everyone in the United States dies, it would adversely affect his television ratings.

Although Fauci was quick to add that the everyone-dying scenario was purely hypothetical, he stressed that, from a medical perspective, alive people were more likely than dead ones to watch television.

According to a source familiar with the conversation, the possible impact of COVID-19 fatalities on Trump’s ratings “totally blindsided” the President, who immediately convened an emergency meeting of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

“It’s time you losers started taking this situation seriously,” Trump reportedly barked. “Especially you, Pence.”

In what was described as an increasingly rancorous session, Trump reprimanded the group for “not doing enough” to safeguard his TV ratings. “I like the numbers being where they are,” he thundered.

Packers my man, in some previous thread you compared Trump to Churchill and with all due respect, that is so wrong... Churchill is a god compared to that belligerent idiot. I'm not going to pretend I've read anything by Churchill, but I know this much: the man wrote 12 million words throughout his lifetime, 12 million! Who knows how many he read, and to compare him to Trump is absolutely ludicrous...

Trump is con artist, a malignant narcissistic sociopath, devoid of empathy, human decency, he doesn't have a conscience, all that matters to him is him. What kind of human could be gloating about his ratings of a press conference, in these unprecedented times? That's insane... he is a walking spewing lies machine, you see reporters quoting his actual words by him and he denies them, his owns statements!

This crisis is the worst thing that could happen to someone like Trump, because in a crisis you need leadership, transparency, consistency, credible communication, coordination, everything Trump isn't. This pandemic couldn't have been avoided, but the impact and the damage could've have been reduced, with the proper measures. It's absolutely baffling his administration didn't do anything earlier, they had at least 7 weeks to act, they knew it was coming, they had a playbook left by the previous administration, on how to act in case of a pandemic, they had a team who he dismantled in 2018, out of spite and idiocy.  All these things are facts, his incompetence will make this whole situation a lot of worse, people have died or will die because he refused to listen to experts, because of his disdain towards facts, science, and truth.

I don't have a dog in this, I'm not even American, it's just that looking from the outside it's horrifying to see how bad the USA has botched this situation. His daily press conferences are just for him to get in his praises, everybody needs to sooth his childish ego and praise him, since he can't go to rallies anymore. As for the way he speaks, here is a quote from Churchill that perfectly encapsulates Trump and his oratory skills:

That Churchhill quote is 100% spot on perfect. Trump has no idea before he starts how he is going to improvise, nor the lack of value add his improv fails to deliver nor as mentioned does he remember what crap came out of his mouth after the fact. It is likely the signs of an aging mind that he does not even comprehend the impact of the garbage flying out where he sees it as embellishing and trying to CYA his terrible leadership. 

We deserve better than Trump, the world deserves better and unfortunately there is nothing better in the queue again just like last time. We are either stuck with a massive ego loser who will take every opp to add more debt and could care less about the country or a flat out lifer lying schmuck in Biden. I think this reality goes to the truth about the political machine on both sides...the only thing that matters to the machine is to get the means taken care of and however that happens is the only focus. Pay the hands that funded the machine, rinse and repeat.

Am I the only one that feels the 100,000-240,000 dead announcement is a stunt? I truly feel like Fauci and Brix told him 75k may die and he said, make it 240k, I may be sick and jaded but I've been around long enough to know the House gives you info that will only benefit them in the long run, there's a reason they put the $5 table near the door in a casino, it's not by accident. I feel in 4 weeks we have less than that perish and you know who claims victory as "Well, you know, a lot of my advisors, great people, the best in the world, tremendous professionals said almost a quarter million Americans would die, meaning fatal, not recover, so sad. And today the Chinese virus is receding, invisible war, 75,000, terrible number, big number but not as big as you know. We did a great job, starting from closing the boarder to China and Europe, both infected, both highly sick and now we saved all those that could or should have you know like my experts said should have died, not recovered, if I hadn't acted so fast. Big victory, so proud and now the rest that are still alive, we saved em, lots of pent up energy to boost the economy."

Yeah, you are sick... if you paid attention , you would have noted that their worst case scenario was 2 million if containment measures break down.   Do the math , we are still 3 weeks or so from peak deaths, and deaths in these next few weeks are expected to increase exponentially from here..
