I was hoping that the Israel narrative would cool and it seemed to a little bit but now with these events the last few days it feels like the narrative is back in action. Israel wants to make a broader wider impact on its enemies outside of the Gaza only location and I dont think they should have gone as far as they did then, but we allowed it and continue to allow it. Now it seems the US is being pulled in to other areas which benefit Israel and put the region at risk. The deeper Israel leads us into the region the closer we get to more serious enemies who will take actions we do not want to be involved with but the connective tie here is of course enemies of Israel.
It is not a smart move to provoke reckless enemies, I hope those making decisions are aware of the cost and risk we take going down this road.

In reality we are involved in that region for TWO purposes and it is not to make the world a better place or for human rights or equality for the abuses to women and minorities. We are there to protect our BUSINESS interests and to back up Israel. That "zone" is used for transport and the region is the backyard for many oil players. It is too bad that the reason we spend money and take risks is to protect an antagonist (Israel) and to watch out for our oil allies and business interests.

I remember the days when an anti-war stance, such as my own, would lead to a person like me being called a "bleeding heart liberal".
Now, if you disagree with the funding of the M.I.C. and the killing of American soldiers for no reason through senseless overseas conflicts, you are considered a radical MAGA democracy hating insurrectionist.
Strange how the times have changed....

I want you to know that I am not a hawk & certainly not a dove. I've seen it & wouldn't want to see anyone having to go into battle especially when the reasons are dubious at best.
Having said that, I think the right message was sent with that being "stop fucking around."
BTW..the weather is beautiful in our crazy state isn't it? Sitting on the patio, playing the ponies on my laptop, got a Heineken, soft jazz in the background, watching these teenagers fishing in the canal & looking for bait ?? while doing a bowl of fine legal Michigan weed.
Life is good!

Problem is, without the US backstop in place Israel would have never been a country and would have been smashed down long long ago. So when you rely on another party for your survival it seems reasonable for Israel to be much more considerate and follow what the US suggests...but they do not and we keep seeing that evident over and over. Its ok if Israel wants to be an aggressor on their terms if they were to be 100% on their own, but they are not and never have been and this is a no-win situation for the US.
If the US were to back away and let the chips fall, Israel would be gone and quite quickly even now with their technology, they would stand no chance against a unified effort from their enemies in the region.

The Houthis attacked US ships in international waters.
The Houthis also attacked commercial ships in international waters.
We told them to stop. They didn’t.
So we launched strikes to make them stop. Was our coalition going to allow the attacks to continue? NO!
Let me help you here;
February 2021, the AP; President Joe Biden’s administration is moving to revoke the designation of Yemen’s Houthis as a terrorist group, citing the need to mitigate one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.
President Donald Trump’s administration had branded the Iranian-backed Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization.
The move comes a day after Biden announced an end to offensive support to Saudi Arabia’s campaign against the Houthis.
Smart, real smart.

I am in a blizzard with high winds and terrible windchills feeding Trumpeter Swans that were sitting on the frozen lake. (They ate and quickly headed for open water. Hopefully they head further South) Also feeding the whitetail deer. Life is good. Going to have fireplace insert burning 24/7 the next few days, seven below zero on Monday!!

Makes sense, but that is part of the disdain that the people of that region have against Israel to begin with...that region despises America and yet Israel is what is because of the US....the US benefits from intelligence it obtains from Israel and that is mostly from the territory it holds in that region...others in that region hate that ideology that America is so connected to the region and thus our connection to them is aiding in their turmoil....it's right dab in the middle of that region...in today's times, not yesteryear, what would happen if we didn't back Israel...let it fall where it falls and what does the US lose other than the intel....so we lose the intel....cannot that not be obtained another way in this day and age....I get the connection some 30 years ago, but in today's time is it still the same....maybe we are the crutch to that region and if we were not associated with it, it would change the minds of the people around it..probably not, but how does one really know....let's face it, that region can't stand US views and ways and so they hate us and therefore hate Israel for aligning with such values...that's fact...They are not a NATO member but because of US involvement other NATO countries must support them as well as Israel supporting other NATO members...makes no sense....if you create a club and start letting non-club members attend the club then the paying members will get restless and so they should....it's the same thing happening in Ukraine....that middle east region has been at war with each other for almost a 100 years....it will never stop...never...until this planet is obliterated that region will always be at war...let it go and see what happens...if we want it back it could be taken back rather easily...I mean honestly, if the US really cared, the hamas or Palestinian's could be taken out rather easily...the US just wants Israel to do it...it's the same with Ukraine...his military aid now go take care if it and we'll watch from our couch in the office just after we finish watching the movie A Day Without a Mexican...

Not sure the US wants to incite the regions reckless players, its like living in a neighborhood with a bully who you would rather avoid and respect but not confront and do the best you can given the situation. The US and Europe does not want to give Iran and Syria and other aggressive countries reason to band together and maybe drag in China or Pakistan or North Korea or many other groups that would throw it all out there and who cares the consequence.
Our erroneous ventures into Iraq are nothing compared to what it would be against Iran and whatever groups would like to join in, and we as a country had no stomach for the Iraq cakewalk, there is absolutely no way our military is interested in a war there especially with extremist cell groups, our military is not equipped or trained for a land based door to door war in a foreign country where we have limited resources, I think we want to hold the pretense up as much as we can and threaten our warships or short range weapons and keep the reckless bully at bay versus be aggressive like Israel is.
Last thing, they do not like our democracy and rights for everyone approach but I think their disdain for Israel runs deeper, thousands of years deep and the fact that Israel is aggressive and has the view of wiping all non-believers off the map as their end goal objective. Israel still lives in Old Testament mindset, they still follow that approach and they would go to war with the entire area if they thought they could pull it off.

Generator moved from the shed to the garage. Generator house setup outside the garage. Extention cords moved from garage to heated utility room so they're flexible, not frozen. Portable emergency lights ready.

That's it right there ...and we are backing a loose canon with the militant unpragmatic mindset....Does Israel act the same if they lose their US/NATO backing? Or does having that support allow the bullying mentality to take on a different approach...you know, that guy who won't pick a fight unless his buddies are there and will only do so when numbers are present...I know no one has that answer, but it would seem to me that they wouldn't unless they don't care of being wiped off the map, however I would like to see how that plays out...I'd like the US to start having some balls in some of these foreign affairs instead of running to the aid to every tom. dick and harry...

Lets not forget Biden funded the UNRWA even after two watchdog groups told Congress the UNRWA was teaching kill j-e-w-s and supported HAMAS. To the tune of $730 million dollars.
Fixed it! Sheesh!
How many weapons were found in Gaza schools?

In 1848 Mexico conceded Arizona to the United States after being defeated and the US invaded Mexico City. Imagine Mexico randomly firing rockets into Arizona cities throughout years and then coming across the border raping woman and mutilating children.
Afterall it was their land!!!
