Steve Bannon's border wall fraud trial postponed until February
@fubah2
Could see that coming 100 miles away How will Trump interfere with it?
@Zeus4par
Hard to say. It's a NY state charge so a federal pardon is a non-sequitor.

What damage to America does the traitor and his party plan for the rest of the year.?
We now know that he plans to stop a bipartisan bill the republican majority house already passed unanimously last January to strengthen FIRST AMENDMENT protections for the press, known as the PRESS Act.
The will of the majority is this bill should pass.

In war against truth, Trump threatens vital role of the press in holding government accountable as required under US constitution. But the worst president in US history deserves scrutiny. Without protection, government could spy on journalists and force disclosure of whistle-blowers. Protecting freedom of media is more important than ever because of authoritarian governments that support book bans, rewriting of history and violence against journalists.

We either have a Constitutional first Amendment or not.

Politically impossible for Musk and Ramadwamy to cut proposed $2 trillion from annual federal budget. Myth is that federal spending has plenty of waste. Actually, government spending goes to overwhelmingly popular programs such as social security, medicare, medicaid, veterans benefits and defense. Congress is unlikely to approve cuts to sacred cows.

Trump announces 25% tariffs on anything imported from Canada and Mexico. Trade war risks lower economic growth and employment in US and the world. Although tariffs could benefit some manufacturers, revenue gains for US companies and government wouldn't outweigh losses to consumers. No way tariffs could replace revenue loss from income tax cuts. In Trump first term, tariffs increase taxes by $625 a year per household. According to Peterson institute, bigger tariffs could cost over $2600 a year. Shifting tax burden from rich to poor Americans. Walmart CFO warns of higher prices in the future. Republican Rand Paul criticizes tariffs because international trade saves every American consumer $7000 annually through lower prices. Oddly, low information voters elect Trump because of inflation but his economic policies are mostly inflationary.

Au contraire , President Trump was mostly elected to STOP the illegal invasion at our borders ....President Trump on Monday evening announced a 25% tariff on all products from Mexico and Canada until the illegal alien invasion is stopped. Thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs at levels never seen before.
More than70,000 Americans die of fentanyl overdose per year... thanks Joe .
inflation be damned..STOP the Invasion of our Country..close the borders,,,, higher inflation is a small price to pay for secure borders...

Tariffs won't stop immigration. US courts have ruled that immigration is not invasion because US is not at war against Mexico. Under the law, US border cannot be shut down except in a national emergency such as pandemic. Most illegal immigrants enter US legally but overstay their visa. This is a civil offense and not a crime. Most fentanyl is transported by US citizens who are less likely to be stopped at borders. Immigration has no significant impact on US crime rates because immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than US citizens. Border cities and those with many immigrants are among the safest in the US.

They might not ..however,when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau heard about it he flew to Florida to meet with President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate..to try and work something out to stop the tariffs..Canada cannot handle a 25% tariff on goods to America and Trudeau knows it..hence the the immediate response to it's largest trading partner....Canada imports were $482 billion..im2023
The United States has a $41 billion trade deficit with Canada..no wonder Trudeau hopped on a plane lickadee split to see President Trump

New York times report that 77 Nobel prize winners urge Senate to reject Trump nominee Robert Kennedy. Putting him in charge of health department would endanger public health and undermine U.S. leadership in health sciences.

Millions could lose healthcare insurance to pay for Trump tax cuts according to Association of healthcare journalists. US has the most unaffordable healthcare system in the world with millions of Americans under insured. Unlike countries where healthcare is a right instead of a privilege, thousands of Americans become bankrupt every year because of medical bills.

Insurance is a hot debate right now, not just heath care. My car insurance went up close to 40% and both drivers haven't had a ticket or accident in 25 years. Excuse was it's across the board rate hikes, watch the news they said. Then when you have a claim and if its approved, don't be shocked if you are dropped with no explanation.
I only responded to this thread because Wallstreet said that I need to interact with the posters who end up reporting me to him to begin with, so it is kind of like a holiday with the in laws that you see once or twice a year and your friendly up to a certain point.
I will not share my Bourbon with you folks tho...

Associated press reports that Trump is bringing chaos back to Washington by trying to kill bipartisan spending deal by making unrealistic demands days before deadline. House republicans are ordered to shut down government and hurt Americans across the US. Rejected deal includes over $100 billion for disaster relief.

Biden is doing all he can to sink the country before he sails off with his millions......now, after some 50 years in DC, he's chastising Pelosi for her insider trading, lol.

In 2023, 115 members of Congress revealed their transactions, a decrease from previous years. Approximately one-third of the trading members outperformed the S&P 500 in the previous year. Compared to the S&P 500's gain of 24.8%, the average gains for Democrats and Republicans were 31.18% and 17.99%, respectively, according to the report compiled by Unusual Whales, a market analysis group.

@Zeus4par
But not exactly out of the realm of plausibility. I expect more chaos in the House over pending decisions and our defacto dictator will ultimately decide what HE personally wants - regardless if BAD for the country...

In governments run by the super rich, natural incentive to preserve their wealth by favoring spending cuts instead of tax increases to reduce budget deficits. However nonpartisan Congress budget office top proposed solutions are on the tax side. Eliminate all deductions for income tax and impose national sales tax.
