I honestly wanted my Dolphins to move up in the draft to find a way to pick up Flacco. I like the way he looked in games poised and a strong delivery, but when I seen him in pre-season he looked like the D2 qb that he really is.
This will be a tough test for this young Qb to come into the bright lights on the road to Pittsburgh. I'm certain the Steelers will come at Flacco at full throttle bringing in blitzing linebackers & corners to fluster Flacco. If the Steelers defense can take away the Ravens running game the Ravens will surely be in trouble leaving the game in the hands of Flacco on the road.
My only concern right now is the Steelers o-line need to protect Big Ben. They cannot let the same thing that happened last week happen again. If the protection is there the Steelers can get the running and passing game back in balance and the Steelers should come out with a victory.

Baltimore is an excellent teaser candidate to make it +11. The sacks and turnovers will result in enough short fields that BALT can get a TD or 2 and several field goals, they will probably lose SU but get the cover.

Hello all, My numbers at the moment are pointing to the UNDER 33.5. As of now I am leaning towards Pitt. but am a little troubled by the, as far as i see it, Huge line drop. Why? Thinking it was a direct result to Willie Parker being out but it dropped another half point later in the week. Loving Balt. here is what they want us to think. My prediction: Pitt 16 Balt 9 good luck all. ps I dont wager till gametime. Back later, peace

A 12-5 record as a Monday night home favorite doesn't hurt either, especially when you compare that to baltimore's paltry 2-7 record as a Monday Night road dog. Pittsburgh is also 8-2 on Monday night playing against teams with a record over .500, and 5-0 ats home playing an opponent off back to back straight up wins.
Considering what the Steelers did to McNabb's offense even in defeat, it is hard for me to imagine Flacco moving the ball with any regularity against a team with this kind of defense when I look over his stats against weaker defensive teams Cincy and Cleveland.
I like the reverse line movement for this game and if the line goes down to 4 I will take the game down to Pittsburgh-3, although a -230 moneyline is ideal for a 5 point spread, and a deal when taking into account that 5 points usually costs -240. Baltimore is +190, which is also correct for a 5 point dog, but I see that 10 cents on the dollar savings for taking Pittsburgh's 5, and it makes me want to take the team with the more experienced signal caller and defense that had a signature performance, this year even in defeat.

I am on Baltimore +5.5 here. Yes I am aware of the trends with Pitt at home, and Balt on the road, but I'm not too concerned. Pitt should have beaten Philly last week -- they could get very little done against them, and this Balt defense is even better.
