Interesting inthemoney how a 38-17 beating of the Pats changes minds.  You were all over the Pats against the Saints.
I am a Saints fan and this is where I take Washington with the points.  By kickoff this line will be 10.  NO coming off a sky high victory over NE and will be a little flat.  Wash possibly wins game but I think Saints win 27-20.

good point.  as a Dallas fan I just know that WASH SUCks....as a franchise, ownership group, team...etc.  Wash couldn't suck more.  New Orleans is the BEST TEAM in the nfl.  I'm ridin New Awlins till da damn wheels fall the F OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is an interesting matchup cause you have one of the best pass offenses in the league against the best pass defense in the league.. i think the redskins havent seen a team like this before and the saints will not have a let down because its a conference game and they are battling for home field advantage.. the saints wont win by 3 scores but i can see them winning by 13 or 14.  they will cover this spread..

A) If you don't think Greg Williams doesn't know where his old teams holes are defensively you are wrong.

B) Washington may have the best pass defense in the NFL, but think for a second how many big plays and blown coverages they have given up this year. Marshal, Jackson, Manningham, and Johnson are all good examples.

Take the Saints to cover.

This will be the sucker bet of the day with everyone watching the saints destroy the most overrated defense in football and think their book is gonna hand them free money. Classic monday night winner let down but in this case the winner is undefeated and just beat pats...there is no way the saints cover this game. washington lately... not to much to play for.. so this will be superbowl sunday for them so expect the skins to redline the engine and play the saints to the wire. watched too many nfl games not to sniff this upset or at least an automatic cover coming from miles away. I see where Lip2525 is going with this, but i seriously doubt they win.

The best shot the redskins have is in the 1st half... this IS their superbowl. 2 straight heart breaking road losses to the 'Boys and the Birds will have these Redskins playing out of their minds.

They will think "since we're gonna go under .500 this season, it wouldnt be so bad if we could take out the Hottest team in the NFL." 

Until the 2nd half arrives...

The win over the Pats was a statement game, this one will just come easy because the Skins simply cannot put up points, and will be forced to give Drew and Co. a short field on each possession. They probably won't air it out as much, and play a much more conservative game on the ground.

Saints won't let up with the Vikings behind their backs reaching for the 1 seed. NO takes this one, donate the points to Washington for charity, they absolutely deserve it. I'm an Eagles fan and I even feel sorry for them...

Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell each get rushing TDs in this one.

NO -7.5: the Saints are clearly the dominant team, and if the line reaches 9 or ten, i might have to go with the Skins. My only concern is Brees and company not taking this game seriously, especially after their showcase this past MNF. For now: Score Saints 28-Redskins 18 (2 units)

I'm not ripping u...not by any means.  but for those betting on wash to cover....let's look at wash for what they are. They...SUCK.  Wash got beat by Dallas when Dallas basically HANDED them the game.  Dallas could't have played worse and still by a miracle from the football gods won.  any other team in the NFL (maybe Detroit) would have beat Dallas that particular day...but not sorry azz washington.  and the Wash v Philly game.  Everyone is saying....  "wash didn't give up...blah blah blah".  for those that actually watched the game, Wash almost got blown out in that game too.  the only reason it was that close is that Andy Reid (like a moron) did a onsides kick the 1st play of the game and almost lost his arse for it. 

 

       Let's face it....Wash is a HORRIBLE team on many levels. and New Orleans is arguablly one of the greatest offenses this decade if not all time. For wash to keep this close..New Orleans would have to have the mother of all hangovers, Brees would have to be injured in a major way.....u get it. wash will be down by 14 at some point in the game...maybe the 3rd quarter because of their inept play calling and overall incompetent coaching staff. as a Dallas fan I can honestly say this Wash team couldn't be more pathetic.  Plus hatred4dallas's writeup pretty much seals the deal for me.  I forgot about the Greg William's angle.  bet on Wash at your own peril.

Keep betting the heavy public chalk and see where that gets you at the end of the year. I know...we all know washington is not a good football team and fully aware of the saints undefeated perfect season ytd but thats why vegas makes a spread. I have many post on this site few on the nfl... last was dallas on turkey day stating people bet last weeks outcome instead of the current week. You talk about what washington has done vs dallas, detroit etc and do not understand that every game carries different characteristics. OF COARSE on paper this looks like 41-10 but this is the NFL and it never goes as advertised. Either the whole world wakes up sunday morning hammers new orleans and collects or the books laugh bc everybody grabbed the lolly pop...we will see..i will wait until the line is prob 11 then go in...Lip

You might be on to something. Washington is playing hard, and is at home, NO is out of the dome on grass. This is an NFC east team, NO may take this week to relax and find themselves in a dogfight.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT DAWG. FOR HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE, THE SAINT WONT LET OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND THROW THE SMOKE SCREEN WHEN ON "D". THEY WILL TREAT THIS GAME AS IF THEIR LIVES DEPENDED ON IT. No way they come out flat here.

The Saints, Colts, and Vikings are public teams this year, and if you've been betting against them, you've lost alot of money.

Brees is a perfectionist. The man loses sleep when he misses an easy pass. If there's anyone being laid back in this game, it won't be him.

There are virtually no superstars on this team anymore. They're a bunch of young players, rookies, and free agents who make the most out of their playing time. So, I have a hard time seeing a letdown. If one player fails to play up to their potential, Sean Peyton will bench him, and put in the next guy, and the next guy. My only concern is our band-aid defense. But they show that they can play on par with the offense.

People think after beating the Patriots, this team will have a let down, or sleep walk through the next game. If anything, that game brought them more confidence and respect for their capability. This team has a history of losing, and now has the support of the city, and the entire state of Louisiana behind them. I doubt they would disappoint.

Hey I didn't post on that Pats/Saints thread, but I do remember reading people bicker and clown about someone making bold predictions about the final score -- 808pickyboy.

everyone ragged on this guy's prediction and formula, but whether it was sheer luck or true wit -- I give you props man. Not only did you predict a lower margin of victory, but the Saints coverd +3 over your spread.

Nicely done man. With that said, WHO DAT!!

P.S. - I'm sick of people bandwagoning and using the SAINTS on Madden after these last couple of weeks tho.
