I thought the refs did a pretty good job in the championship game, with one huge exception... that WAS HANDS DOWN one of the worst charge calls I've ever seen. That happens when Coach K's minions are taught to flop everytime someone drives the lane. That was a huge call, bc it wiped 2 points off the board for Butler that obviosuly would have made them up by one at the end. Also, Zoubek threw Howard down at the end, but in that situation I don't really expect the refs to always make that call. Funny how Duke always benefits from these... They shouldn't have even been there after the blatant corruptness exhibited in the Baylor game. |

This is what happens when you base your capping of a game on one stat alone... Dayton 11-31 from 3pt land, UNC 8-21, yet Dayton rolls. Good luck with the rest of your tourney plays. |

Almost all of their marquee players have been whiny douches, who act like they have a sense of entitlement because the play for the Blue Devils... and they are all you ever hear about no MATTER IF THEY ARE GOOD or not. Same with Notre Dame in college football. Who cares if they are 2-9? I hate how they are always used as the example of a school that "does it the right way." Bullshit, there are a hundred other schools out there that conduct their program with inegrity, and do things the "right way," and all I have to say is Corey Maggette. Also, when I went on my recruiting visit as senior in HS (for soccer), I saw first-hand how pretty much the entire student body are just smarmy, conceited, born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-their-mouth toolbags, that think they are better than everyone else because they go to Duke. I didn't see that at ANY other school I visited. Obviosuly these are generalizations, but they are for the most part true. Here are a few exceptions (Duke players I respect): Bobby Hurley, Grant Hill, Shane Battier

Rick Reilly is a douchebag... his articles are sometimes okay (this one for example), but have you ever heard him talk? He doesn't know anything, and his opinions suck.

Still bangable, but a little busted up and not too reliable. |

So the Caps are in a mini-slump right now, but this was bound to happen at some point since they have had NO PRESSURE on them for the last couple months. Theo was playing extremely well up until about a week ago, there is no reason he can't regain that form in the playoffs. If he doesn't we have Varlamov, who is certainly capable of a playoff run. Honestly, Buffalo (and probably New Jersey) are the only teams I have seen that can pretty much count on having a good goaltender in the playoffs, but the Sabres offense is anemic. Everyone else needs their goaltender to get hot at the right time. I'll take the best offense, special teams, and scorer in the league and be confident that we can get enough goaltending to get by. |

Do it everyday with all your picks for the whole contest... no. But at times, it's what you NEED to do. Bottom line. He can develop into an extremely good player, but I'm sick of everyone kissing up to this dude that is extremely inconsistent in a half court game... and unless you play on a selct few teams in the league, that is what he's going to play at the next level. |

I hate Duke more than anything, but I can admit that Coach K is everything that is right with college bball... All that being said, Coach Cal knows how to recruit. I just think Wall is the product of his move to Kentucky, an over - exhuberant media, and the need for the public to find the next Lebron James. He is a good basketbal player, nothing more. I feel sorry for the kid, he's got a rude awakening coming in the NBA. |
