1st Play Of The Weekend Is The Philadelphia Eagles :
Look for Nick Foles and Co. to upset the Dirty Birds this Saturday.
- Philly has gone 5-1 SU in their last 6 divisional playoff games. - Falcons are 1-7 SU on their last 8 games on the road aganist the Philadelphia Eagles. - Philly has also 7 of the past 8 home meetings // 6-1-1 ATS. - Last time the Eagles were a home dog in the playoffs was 2000, where Philly pulled the upset aganist the Tampa Bay Bucs (21-3). A Small Factor That Can Come Into Play : - The Weather , Crowd , And Overall Atmoshpere at Lincoln Financial Field. - Twice since 1995 were the Eagles home underdogs (in the playoffs), both times the Eagles got the better of the other team. - Philly is also the only team in the NFL to be undefeated at home, besides losing a matchup where most of the starters did NOT play (Week 17). MOST notably, Jay Ajayi -- who I feel like will be the work horse in this matchup.

here's a stat : John Fox coached teams on opening day are lethal. especially at the half. This stat is specifically for the 1st Half. Last year, Fox led his team to 14-10 at the half against houston before the offense deteriorated in the 2nd half. The year before that the Bears led green bay 13-10 at the half before the offense stalled once again 3 years ago, the fox coached broncos led the colts 24-7 at the half. |

one of the very few locks i have going into the season. 6.5 point teaser : Alabama -1/2 : Nick Saban is 10-0 against former assistants. Bama is 40-3 SU in seasons following bowl losses. Bama has won 15 straight season opening week one games by an average victory of 25.4 points. It's last loss on opening day came to the UCLA Bruins in 2001. Since 2007, The Nick Saban coached Alabama team is 5-1 against the ACC and has won those games by a total score of 210-97 or 22.6 points per game. The loss against Clemson in the National Championship game was Roll Tide's first loss against the ACC since Saban took over. The second part of the teaser is : Steelers -2.5 Roethlisberger is 23-3 SU in the state of Ohio. This is Bell's contract year, he missed the 4st four games last year & it felt like he had an abnormal amount of games where he put up 150+ yards. Roethlisberger isn't there forever... Steelers know Ben is most likely hanging up the cleats next season and they are going to play hard for him. The franchise has put weapons around him for a reason. In the draft they got James Connor & JuJu-Smith from USC, they just traded for Vance McDonald & Bryant is back ! You can't forget Bell & Brown either, debatably the best Wide Reciever/Running Back Duo. Good Luck If You Follow
