it looks like everybody and their mother is on fsu today. rightfully so as i do think they are the better team. I understand that if you arent a Notre Dame fan you most likely hate Notre Dame. I cant get around why there is all this overwhelming support for FSU though. ND has probably the brightest offensive mind in the country in Brian Kelly. Hes had 30 days to prepare for the FSU defense which is playing out of its mind. But i want everybody to look at how we struggled against teams that spread is out like clemson and wake did. We blitz. We blitz alot. i think this game comes down to how Notre Dame o line picks it up and how their QB is gonna react. If we get beat on the blitz time and time again its going to be a long day (Clemson). FSU offense pretty much NEEDS the defense to create turnovers and shorten the field mainly bc with 4 true freshman offensive lineman its going to be difficult to sustain long drives down the field over and over again. Not to mention that EJ Manuel is an average QB at best. Im sorry, but i dont buy into him. Sure hes better than Trickett but being leader of the retards still means you are one. My point is that i think FSU will win but i dont think its as cut and dry as everyone thinks. look at my last couple posts about FSU and they usually are right on. Im not gloating, but they are my team and ive watched every game this year. good luck to all that take my school, but be weary a let down wouldnt surprise me. SCALP EM!!! |

I was going to comment on that point but you beat me to it.

Obviously by my avatar im a noles fan. graduated from there and watch them religiously. As for last week, I think the trauma of losing to both Clemson and Oklahoma mentally effected their view of this season. We came in number 5 even picked by desmond howard to win he national title (in no way do i think we were capable of that or were we a preseason top 5 team) I think our players felt like the season was over and walked into wake with a hangover. i know we had the bye week but you wont forget about your last game until you play another one. By the time they decided to play against wake, the deficit was too much. As for this week, I think defense destroys duke in every aspect. Duke struggles to score anyway and now they have a pissed off Seminoles squad who has finally realized that hype got to them. I know our Oline is thin but I dont think Duke has one much less any defensive game breakers. Look for us to run this one up for our own confidence. I love FSU in this spot, took them myself on a big play at -13 (bought down from 13.5)

I sat there at stared at it for about 10 minutes wondering if i was going crazy. GT covered for me against NCstate as i bought down to 9.5. Virginia has played weak teams, making this their first true competition. With that said, they still have 2 losses. GT scores. they score alot. just dont think Virginia will keep up

not an avid poster on the site but read almost everyday. this season has been good to me so far as i havent come out in the negative yet. (doesnt mean ive won thousands of dollars just havent lost on a saturday yet this year) i dont even really keep track of my overall record , just whether im up or down on the week. so in that case,. im 5-0 as a look it at.
We all know after week 4-5 the books start making some dough back. lets keep that from happening this year gents...here we go FSU -10 Oklahoma -9.5 USC/Kentucky ov 43 Auburn +10 Northwestern +7.5 Tex AM -9.5 SDSU +5 Georgia/ Tennessee Ov 54.5 Good Luck to all, Comments appreciated

USC as we all know is on probation and barred from any bowl games this season... USC is definately going to be a home underdog - a home underdog for the first time since... November 17, 2001 against UCLA, they were 3 point dogs and won outright 27-0. Have to believe this opening line is going to be Oregon -6. Barkley has been under-the-radar, sneaky-good this season. USC has seemed to improve somewhat from game to game this season... Basically, this will be USC's 2010-2011 bowl game and it takes place in October this year. Wow, do I fucking hate Lane Kiffin, but I wonder if he can coach this team up for 1 game and pull off a shocker? Couldnt have said it better myself. i think thats the thing lane kiffin is firing them up for. their only chance to play on a national game all year. lets not forgte they lost to washington and stanford on time expiring field goals. yes their D is horrible but their offense is great. barkley has throw for 800+ yards with 8 TD 0 INT in his last 2. Biggest game of the year for the Trojans. im going over and usc moneyline. BOL |

2teamparlay- i understand containment but neither UCLA qb is a running threat. kinda like when Florida runs the zone read with Brantley HAHA. no threat. also agree 100% Oregon is in a let down position. Im a USC fan myself and i think Trojans beat them outright next week. but none the less good luck tom night

i was trying to figure out who to take in this game and i decided to look at the rushing off/def for both teams. not their total rank in rushing defense or offense but the numbers per game these teams put up and the competition they are putting them up against. oregons D is seceptible to the run. except for games against port; st and new mexico (who are god awful and i didnt even factor into this) the oregon D has given up : 91 Wazzu 177 stanford 182 tenn 210 arizona st obvioisly wazzu is horrendous aswell. i know ucla's D had been worse and oregon is the best big play team in the country. but heres UCLA's rushing stats(up until last week was 10th in the country. so what did CAL do to hold them up?) : Kstate 193 Wazzu 437 Texas 264 Houston 266 Stanford 177 CAL 26??? im dont get what happened in the Cal game. hopefully CalBear reads this and fills me in on the defensive scheme. My point is that UCLA can run and running takes time off the clock. Hell, running is all they can do. they have a superior Oline to Oregons Dline as far as size and i think this becomes a running clock game. My bet is based on the fact i think UCLA can put up 21 at least. this forces Oregon to score 46 to push at the line I have. And i know oregon can score fast. but if UCLA is taking chunks off the clock and forcing the ducks to play D i think this line will be hard to cover. Thats my personal opinion. In no way do i think UCLA has a chnace to win but i do think they have a good shot at 25. so UCLA +25 |
