@biggs33 Is your pick due to the Devils back to back or the Canes recent head to head record?? |

I'm seeing 6.5. I think Tenn will be way too much for NC State. State struggled at home last game and I think this is a strong SEC team against an average ACC team. Neutral location in Charlotte. NC State is 160 miles away and Tenn is 360 miles away. I assume Tenn fans will travel well. I'm looking at a 31-17 type of game. BOL |

@heelgeneral Good points! I think UNC will play Harrell more at QB tonight if the line is having problems. Much more mobile QB and maybe will open some things up. Not betting the game, but hoping our Heels can get it done. Go Heels!! |

@Drake-The-Snake Us Tar Heel fans have been promised a better defense for how many years?? Sure makes it hard to trust them. Go Heels!!!! |

@Laroja If Taylor plays, it will be a good match between him and Omar Hampton of UNC. Hampton rushed for over 1500 yards last season and averaged 5.9 yds a carry. That was on a pass happy team with Drake Maye (#3 NFL pick) at QB. UNC does have an inexperience OL, so it will be worth watching. |

First, I'm a huge Tar Heel fan, but a little skeptical of UNC's chances. First, UNC has not won a road opener against a power 5 team since 1992. Second, the UNC defense has been in the bottom 50 in the country in the past 10 years (maybe longer). The defense has given up huge chunk plays since Mack Brown came back to Chapel Hill. They have won games with offense. UNC does have some playmakers on offense including Omar Hampton, one of the best returning backs in the nation. UNC will play two quarterbacks. Johnson and then Harrell, who is a much better athlete. I like Harrell to be the more unpredictable and may be the key to a win. Minnesota's best RB, Darius Taylor, may be out. He hurt his hamstring last Tuesday and has not practiced since. Bottom line, Minnesota, has the edge. Playing at home, may have the better QB, the Golden Gophers should prevail. Probably not a game I will bet, but wanted to share what I know. Best of luck to all. |
