Kevin Durant on his legacy dying: I been dead since July 4, 2016 but congrats to the Warriors
in NBA Betting Cavaliers had figured that warriors team out. Both Klay and Curry jump shots were missing the rim in the 4th quarter. Even Draymond Green knew that GSW roster needed to change: Draymond Green Says Warriors Don't Beat Cavaliers Without Kevin Durant (msn.com) |

Cavs should expect an all star player or all-star caliber talent back from all trade offers to be taken serioursly.
Why do teams move All Star talent for average players that don't come anywhere close to making an All Star team. I would not trade Kyrie Irving for Groan Dragic and Justice Winslow, unless somehow the CAVS have somehow lost all leverage in the deal. And with Kyrie having two years left on his contract -- the CAVS have a ton of leverage and should not be in a rush to do anything. Haste makes waste! Now, contradicting myself somewhat --- I would trade Kyrie for the Miami Heat Center Hasam Whiteside [premier shot blocker and finisher in the paint]. Point is --- you trade a TALENTED PLAYER to get back an equally TALENTED PLAYER. I feel that shot blocking is under-rated......and what the Pelicans has done with Damarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis ---- is what teams need to still make sure they have and that is RIM PROTECTION and mobile and agile bigs that can stay on the floor when teams go small --- and PUNISH the other teams small line-up when they try to check that effective finisher in the paint. Folks don't talk too much about the CAVS Tristan Thompson -- while he is a great offensive rebounder --- Tristan needs to work on his finishing ability in the paint and improve his Pick and Pop offensive game --- his inability to get better from Playoff Basketball 2016 to his Playoff Basketball 2017 season -- in my opinion hurt the cavs. And I have a feeling he will bring that same rudimetary offensive game to the Playoff Basketball 2018 season -- which just doesn't scare or frighten anyone. He must be a threat to score 10 ppg. and to me -- he is not that DUDE. Getting Whiteside would be an upgrade to the Cavs frontcourt And I still feel that SIZE MATTERS.....and is the way to beat small-ball teams

Kyrie Irving Has a Classic Case of What Pat Riley Warns Players About
in NBA Betting
Pat Riley 6 Chronic Signs of the "Disease of Me"
The disease of me = the defeat of us 6 Danger Signals of the Disease of Me 1. Chronic feelings of under appreciation - too much focus on oneself. 2. Paranoi over being cheated out of one's rightful share. 3. Leadership vacuum resulting from formation of cliques and rivalries. 4. Feelings of frustration even when the teams performs successfully. 5. Personal effort mustered solely to outshine one's teammate. 6. Resentment of the compentence of another, to refuse his or her contribution. To me, this all about the disease of me that Kyrie has obtained and the media is overly focusing on Lebron James. |

If I was the cavs, I wouldn't do anything this year or immediately.
I would leave Kyrie Irving on the vine and not trade him right away. I wouldn't leave him on the vine "to die" like the knicks are doing Carmelo and not acquessing to his demands to be out. I would trade Kyrie either during the draft or during the next off-season but only when the right deal comes along and it's a win for the Cavs Other than that --- I would show him his contract and say get your "A" out there and play!!! Is it me, but does this Kyrie Irving request remind you of the famous Pat Riley saying about what tears up good title ot title contender teams ---- he called it "THE DISEASE OF ME" To me, Kyrie Irving has the classic "disease of me." |

HOW WOULD THAT TEAM RUN WITH WARRIORS A team with Melo, Lebron and Kyrie (By the way Love or George would be on this team too) would probably be the only team in the NBA that can play "iso" ball and have three guys that can get their own shot (Melo, LBJ and Kyrie) But sticking with the running concept.....Melo gives them an extra man At the end of the day, to me, the Cavs was one 12 to 15 ppg scorer short of going mano-e-mano vs GSW this past playoffs. (Basically Lebron couldn't rest --- that is simple -- they need one more capable scorer that can get their own shot ----enter MELO) ***Anyone saying Cavs would not be better by ADDING MELO ar forgetting this "the CAVS would then be SITTING SHUMPERT........so I cannot see how the cavs adding melo and sitting shumpert doesn't make them a better team. Shumpert gets "self-checked" - teams leave him open for a reason. They would not be able to leave Melo open. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As far as MELO BEING THE LAST THING THE CAVS NEED Again, Lebron needs to be able to rest....and when he leaves the floor - the Cavs struggle. Adding Melo also gives them a guy who to me is a superb half court player.......and would give the CAVS the option to even slow the ball down if they choose to do so. ** Not to mention - I think they should add D Wade after his buyout for the exact same reasons (iso ball and ability to get his own shot and 12 ppg scorer) ** SIT SHUMPERT AND JEFFERSON and INSERT MELO AND WADE and the CAVS are immediately better No Diggity - No Doubt |

I know everyone thinks I am crazy, but I feel that the CAVS adding (hopefully a BOUGHT OUT Carmelo Anthony) is exactly what the CAVS need to be more competitive foe against the Warriors in the FINALS
The key is that Melo must be bought out (not traded for) and basically would provide the CAVS additional firepower on offense. For whatever reason, Ty Lue decided this past FINALS to try to outscore the Warriors -- that was not good with their roster last year but a roster that adds Melo --- would be more forminable. Lebron (for Durant) Kyrie (for Curry) Love (for Green) and Carmelo (for Thompson) that's firepower vs firepower and I would add another buyout player that might be available D Wade (for Livingston) and to me, the Cavs match up and stacks up vs the GSW LBJ and the CAVS just has to convince Melo and Wade and hopefully the Knicks and Bulls that a buyout is also a win-win for them and their organizations too To me, everyone wins (Melo and Wade - opportunity at a NBA FINALS appearance and Championship ring) (Bulls and Knicks - clear cap space and rebuild) (CAVS and LBJ - get experienced players and additional firepower 12 to 15 ppg from each player if need-be --- is all the CAVS really need to become an EXPLOSIVE offense!!) Lebron Love Melo Kyrie and Wade could actually be the closing lineup on the floor come next Spring and Summer Call me crazy --- but I want to see that happen sooooo baaddddd.

Wouldn't the Pacers accept Kevin Love for Paul George ??
Wouldn't the Bulls accept Kyrie Irving for Jimmy Bulter ?? Wouldn't a Lebron - Paul George - Jimmy Butler Big 3 Be better on offense and defense than Lebron - Kevin love and Kyrie Irving? Team would be able to switch everything on dee And Each player is capable of getting 23 ppg And could dee up three of the warriors big 4 Why not do these trades ?? |

I think they need another 15 ppg scorer
As good as Kyrie and Lebron are they need one more scorer If the friction and noise between the Knicks [Phil Jackson] and Melo is true ---- and they buy Melo out Cavs should welcome him with open arms Melo vs Thompson Lebron vs Durant Love vs Green Kyrie vs Curry Wait for the Melo buyout and recruit him hard

He isn't running on fumes
CAVS are overmatched I have the unpopular opinion that the CAVS need more firepower they need to get Melo if he is bought out by Knicks Melo vs Thompspn Lebron vs Durant Love vs Green Kyrie vs Curry Thats firepower vs firepower Cavs to me are a 15 ppg short Their roster is ok vs all other teams needs one more scorer for GSW

GSW turned CAVS over a ton
Has a lot of trasition points Bench has 19 points KD and Curry both near or over 20 points and the topic is GSW played horrible 1st half?

Lebron always brings it in eleimination games.
And although we should never say NEVER ..... he typically never (post Mavericks series) plays in elimination games and doesn't get his average.

To me, the addition of Melo or a player similar to Melo enhances the Cavs offensive efficiency and they continue to get buckets......and allows more flexibility with the lineups as Lebron rests. Maybe Melo or Lebron is on the floor at all times....I don't know. I just feel the Cavs are a 15 ppg short of being able to go toe for toe against the warriors without so much being on Kyrie and Lebron Even Steve Kerr said it too quote "Kyrie and Lebron will get tired" that's what he told his guys. Cavs need one more 15 ppg scorer to be able to truly matchup with GSW next year. That being said - they have to go to battle with what they have this year --- and if Kyrie and Lebron and Love are all three on -- then things could get interesting. Not having the additional 15 ppg scorer gives Cavs a smaller room for error.

The refs were not good
They made bad calls that benefited both teams I don't recall seeing many replays where the refs didn't call a foul on a CAV player that should of been a foul And no matter how the refs call a game they did not GIFT Cavs 49 1st quarter and 86 first half points that was the GSW defense that did that

KD has been so sharp
If he has an off game (which everyone does) then maybe CAVS get to a Game 6 Other than that -- GSW should rap the series up on Monday. Just too much FIREPOWER (hope LBJ remembers that --- they really need to find a way to get one more 15 ppg scorer) If GSW lose Game 5 --- then it will be a 7 game series

GSW acquiring KD has netralized the dominance that is LBJ
LBJ is still the better player - but KD gives GSW a consistent and steady 30 ppg --- and to me that cuts into what LBJ brings to this matchup this means -- LBJ teammates have to show up and cavs have a smaller room for error I feel that CAVS should not overreact if they lose the series to the GSW - but they must find another 15 ppg scorer -- just for this matchup Cavs roster is fine against everyone else but until lebron can go to the bench and get some Gatorade to drink and not have the roof cave in ---- the cavs are a scorer short Hopefully the knicks will buy out Melo I really feel he has 15 ppg in him and his ole man game post up game spot and pop pick and role GAME.... is exactly what the CAVS need

I would reject that trade too .......Love is not a flashy player - but I like K Love and appreciate what he brings to team play (great passer, nice rebounder and shooter and capable low post option) I do not think LBJ would reject Melo walking thru the Cavs front door after being bought out. |
