JRock you don't happen to call in to Kentucky Sports Radio do you? And I hope all you people guaranteeing that Wisky beats UK next weekend will come revisit this thread when it doesn't happen. I'm guessing you won't, or you'll come back with more excuses about the Cats "ruining college basketball". |

And sir if Michigan had Kentucky's roster i wouldn't like it. I like real reams like Wisconsin and Gonzaga and Michigan State who develop talent year in year out. Coaches who stand for something where your HC is as crooked as a dogs hind leg And no to a previous poster CaL isn't a good HC IMO. Go back to not fouling up 3 at memphis vs Kansas he gave Bill Self that title and he's left 2 on the table at UK. {BTW Bill Self overrated as well} Give Izzo or Bo Ryan or Mark few Cal's talent they'd have more rings than a married pimp Also The Fab 5 brought in the entitlement AAU culture we have now in college hoops. They were bad for the sport and again folks... THEY WON NOTHING!!!!! My favorite Michigan hoops team was the 1989 team why? BECAUSE THEY WON!!!!! Jalen Rose said"Name the starters on the UNC team that beat us" It doesn't matter because they won I Met Chris Webber once and i said Chris and he looked at me and i made a time-out signal and said"Guess what we still don't have a time-out" They were losers and diseases to the sport who nearly killed Michigan's program and got Steve Fisher fired
Just because those schools have players that aren't talented enough to go to the NBA after a year or two, doesn't mean they are "real teams". I guarantee you any of those coaches would kill to have any of the guys that Cal brings in. That's basically saying Izzo and Few only go out and recruit guys that they know are gonna hang around for 3-4 years to "develop". That's asinine. Those coaches are recruiting the Towns and Bookers of the class, but they can't get them. Even Coach K has started going after one-and-done guys because he knows you have to have that kind of talent to win in today's game. Kyrie, Jabari, now Okafor and possibly Jones. Is anyone saying he's ruining basketball? If we're talking about coaching mistakes in big games, Sean Miller didn't foul down by 5 with under a minute to go tonight, resulting in ANOTHER Wisky 3. Dumbass decision, but does that make him a terrible coach? |

Guaranteed they lose one of next two games. 38-0 means nothing. Absolutely nothing Does 22-3 in the tourney at UK mean nothing too? Guess he won all those games on talent alone, no X's and O's whatsoever. Who is a good X and O guy, Roy Williams? Self? Boeheim? What about national coach of the year Tony Bennett? When do any of those teams play again? Oh that's right, next season. But at least they'll have lots of good plays to run when October rolls around. I'm really upset that EaglesCoast guarantees they won't win, they should just cancel their trip to Indy now. |

Just ask any student at UK are any BB players in your class room everyday. No but they are at practice everyday! And you know this based on what, exactly? I'll wait.. |

John Calipari is a disease and what he's done is bad for the sport with the 1 and dones. And BTW it's be bad for the sport if Michigan had the same thing ala the fab 5. the fab 5 wasn't good for college hoops either Please inform me what constitutes a "real basketball team". I'd love to hear your educated opinion on this one. Last I checked, Cal didn't create the one-and-done rule. In fact, he's said countless times he despises the rule. But I suppose I'd hate him too if he wasn't the coach of my team and dominating the sport like he is. But keep hating, it makes all these wins that much sweeter. |

I wouldn't chase that total, same story in the IU game earlier. Didn't even come close to sniffing 75 in the 2H

I appreciate the responses fellas. I went ahead and hedged 2 units for Day to win the tourney. I know my +300 line isn't ideal, but I use a local and it's my only means of getting action at the time.
If Kuchar hangs on, I think I'm going to hedge off 5 units for the championship instead of the 10 I had originally planned. I really like the way he's playing right now and I think he takes it home. |

I'm sitting on a Kuchar 30-1 ticket for 1 unit right now, and wanted to see if anyone had hedging suggestions. Simpson at 25-1 was my other pre-tourney wager, and barely missed getting them both into the final four for some serious hedging possibilities.
I was thinking about putting 2 units on Day to win the tournament at +300, that way I can hedge a little on the championship match should Day beat Kuchar in the AM match. If Kuchar beats day, I'm considering putting 10 units on whoever he faces for the championship. Best case scenario, Kuchar wins and I've only hedged off ~12 units, while pocketing 18. If Day wins, I should net a unit or two either way. And if Kuchar loses in the finals, I'd net around 9 units or so. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. |

Just to carry over some conversation from the other thread, any thoughts on why that Astros over is juiced? I don't see how that they don't lose 100+ yet again, although that division should be a little down other than Cincy up top.
On second glance, I kind of like the O's over as well. That division is as wide open as it's been in decades.

Benny, great insight
Another point that's gonna make me max bet that Braves total is the two bottom feeders in the division. The Marlins should be horrid, and the Mets would expected to be slightly better than last year (but that's not saying too much obviously). Atlanta should be able to string together some W's against those two clubs. I love KC as a sleeper (although many will probably call them their sleeper, so not a big shock this year), but I think they were at 77. Anything in the 70-74 range I would have hammered an over, but just don't think I can pull the trigger there and hope they have a .500 season.
