These arent new laws. You make money doing something, you are supposed to claim it. No kidding, if I lose in October 2022 gambling, I can claim those losses against any winnings in 2022. 2023 is a new year, I have to claim those winnings. You should start your own tax advice company. Glad Im on Covers, now there are geniuses who can give me tax advice after they give great sports betting advice. 90% of bettors here now. I hate the Bears tonite. Their team is awful. What great revelations. The younger people on here are mind drains. No disrespect to the hard working people who over the years has made Covers a great place to share information. |

@FRANKtheBANKss You bring up some very important points. I also come onto Covers searching for some mushes. In todays day of things, its easier to find people to fade than find someone who knows their specialty. You brought up an interesting point regarding line movement. What do I like to see? Someone who can RESPECTFULLY share their point of view/reasoning behind a play. Too many posts...I like Michigan ST ML and no reasoning. NOW, if someone has built up a record over time.....then that is acceptable imo. I follow a few cappers for just that reason. IF someone wants to disagree, I think thats fine too if one shares their point of view because ultimately, thats what makes a market |

When brackets came out...I thought there was no effing reason why Mich St or Northwestern should be 7 SEEDS. No effin way. The NCAA usually knows better. Arizona st and pitt had power ratings in the 60s. MANY didnt think they even belonged in the tourney. Happens every year. Powerhouse Pac 12....Arizona was sent packing. Best of luck in what you do because its all of us against the book....not each other. |

Hurley Brothers in the WEST Regional Final....Bob Hurley Sr. is this year's version of Sr Jean(Loyola Chicago) and Mick Cronin's dad(UCLA) when those teams repsectively went to Final 4 |

@Wizerguy You are one of the few people who have been here for a time and I watch for your picks. Pitt and Arizona St are the 2 teams who had power rankings in the 60s and therefore many people dont think they deserve to be in the tourney. I have found that the NCAA likes to create storied matchups. For some reason, I think Pitt beats Miss St and Iowa St where they would play Xavier coached by Sean Miller, who of course played at Pitt. Best of your luck with your plays. St Peter winning on National Peacock Day last year was year was AWESOME!!! |

The Ravens are going to franchise tag him. Lamar ran a pro style offense at the University of Louisville and the Ravens will bring in a new offensive coordinator who will bring out the best in him. With Lamar Jackson as QB, the Baltimore Ravens will win Super Bowl 59 after the 2024 season. |

Re. 2 Black QBs....Patrick Mahomes mom is white(so he is mixed race). But I understand the agenda that the NFL is trying to pull on us. Yes, we will be hearing about 2 black QBs in super Bowl for 2 weeks. super Bowl after all is in February, which is Black History month. |

Im from Wisconsin. People were up in arms when Brett Favre was traded to Jets(and then he went to Minnesota). From what I understand, the Pack takes a big cap hit if he leaves or retires. I could give TWO fooks either way....the Packers dont put groceries on my table. When Favre was traded to Jets, it was for a 4th rd pick. 2nd pick in the draft? for Rodgers? I wish they would have never signed him for 3 years and $150 million, but I dont sign the checks so again.....I dont give TWO fooks either way. I wish Covers could get back to sharing great info among its members so we can collectively take money from the sportsbooks. |

Generally, when a team beats a team on the road in the playoffs(Sf won in Dallas last yr in WC rd) and then the winning team is at home playing against same team, home team(SF) wins again HERE are a few examples that stick out in my mind Denver beat Cleveland in Cleveland in 1986 playoffs via "The Drive" and then beat them again next yr in Denver. Ernest Byner fumble rubbed salt in the wounds Dallas beat SF in NFC Championship in 1992(jimmy Johnson, how bout them Cowboys) and then Dallas beat them in Dallas the next yr. |

Doesnt matter who Dolphins QB will be. NFL has put out "experiment" for neutral site AFC CHAMPIONSHIP. Only way that could happen this year is if the matchup is KC/Buffalo or Buffalo/Cincinnati. A friend of mine believes if successful, could lead to neutral site games for both conference championships just like the Super Bowl. I prefer the way it is but the NFL is always looking to maximize their $$$. Buffalo wasnt/isnt going to lose if Tua, Dan Marino or Bob Griese started this Sunday in Buffalo. |

@ Unders Club....read you original post a couple times. When you say your buddies said....Brady dun lose in the playoffs. LFG.......I get the impression they are on the Cowboys. They were on TCU. cowboys havent won a rd playoff game since 1992 when they won the nfc championship game in SF. That was the "how bout them cowboys" game in the locker room with Jimmy Johnson. Betting rd favorites in NFL playoffs is a losing game. I apologize regarding my confusion as to which way "your fade" is. |

Lamar Jackson will be signed to a new contract with Baltimore. He is young and talented, much improved as a passer since earlier in his career. Contracts to older players such as Aaron Rogers. That I dont understand, but I dont sign the checks either. Teams like the Rams have come to the realization that they have sacrifice their future for 1 Super Bowl. They got it, but now are suffering the salary cap consequences |

Many good points in this thread. Cincinnati is a covering machine. Hard to beat a team(much less a divisional opponent) 2 weeks in a row. Consensus seems to be on Cincinnati. Other games to bet. Other sports to bet. MANY feel the need to spread the money around because its the playoffs. So what.... |

Seems like its destiny that Cincinnati and Buffalo meet sometime in playoff. Neutral site AFC Championship as voted by owners is another story(feel good story hatched by Roger and the owners). Team total season win bets will not be paid as Buffalo and Cincinnati have not played full schedule. Doesnt matter now if Chiefs beat Raiders as long as Buffalo beats New England in week 18. |
