replied to Can Anyone Explain To Me WHY Violent Video Games Like These Exist? in General Discussion not much different from movies.. video games have esrb(entertainment software rating board) ratings.. correct me if im wrong but someone under the age of 17 or 18 or whatever it is, is not allowed to purchase a game with a "MATURE" rating.. just like they are not supposed to be able to purchase a ticket for a rated "R" movie.. or like when the parental advisory stickers were starting to appear on rap and rock albums in the 90s, stores are not supposed to sell these products to kids under 17 or 18 not sure the age.. not sure how punishable the offesnse can be for selling to minors, but there are some sort of regulations on who are supposed to be exposed to such content..
