You want to play a night game on the road against a howling hostile Corvallis crowd, you’d better be able to run the football to calm things down. Oklahoma State doesn’t like to run the football. They like the spread. Now don’t get me wrong, Gleeson is going to be a great college football OC and his innovation could change college football permanently, but it ain’t gonna happen as soon as Friday night. Turning to the other side of the ball, Cowboys ranked No. 97 in scoring defense and No. 112 in total defense - 453 yards and 33 points per game . That’s not good…at all..and in the land of backdoor covers no one laying the points will be able to rest easily. The even bigger concern is the defensive line, where six players —four starters and two rotating backups — are no longer Cowboys. They tried to replace the spots at end with transfers from Colorado and Bowling Green but how they will fare on week 1 is anyone’s guess. On top of that, their leading tackler at LB is gone.
I am by no means a great better, but I live in Oklahoma and the cowboys are what I know. I agree with some of what you said: QB: Dru Brown the two year starter from hawaii will likely be the starter. He is less talent than Sanders our highly recruited QB but both will play. Brown is more consistent. Offense: With that said, our best player (besides WR Wallace) is Chubba Hubbard the RB, look for him to explode on the scene this year. Yes we have a new OC. Gundy really likes to pound the ball in these season opening road games, especially with Chubba being so good.
Defense: should be the best secondary we’ve had in a while. Yes, are front line may be the weakest. I do think we will be much better, given it’s Knowles second year to implement his strategy (came from Duke). I like Oregon state to try and exploit the run game.
With that said, I can’t get a handle on Oregon state, it seems most of their offense game in back door covers last year. So no I don’t live he 14 points. But I really love the Under. We have a tendency to play down to talent, see last year. Went 7-6 but 4-1 against top 25 teams and missed 2 pt conversion to beat OU.
MY PLAY IS THE UNDER AT 71.5 and especially the first half under while we figure out our QB situation. This should be a small play, bc like we know.... sometimes we show up and drop 50. But both teams will try and run the ball IMO. I’d stay away from the line at 14 |

also, read my post about the ticket sales....
For the first time in a long time, GIA will be sold out. You cannot ignore the home court advantage and magic of GIA. A lot better teams have come into Stillwater and lost to a lot worse teams. Small guards? Yeah they are small.... but Evans is the best PG in the country, plays like Chris Paul. Forte is a 5th year senior and undersized but the best 3 pt shooter in the country... when open. The freshman are really solid by the way.

And now Underwood is going for win #100 in his career. He's 99-16 in his career as a coach. That's a filthy good record. The coaches know each other well, they've worked together and are friends. But you can't tell me that this will be just another ordinary game. Underwood will want his 100th win vs his old teacher, and Huggins wants to stick it to him for last years tournament dream crusher. Here's a quote that makes me think Huggy will have his guys prepared: * Huggins was asked about the conversation he had with Underwood following his team’s loss to Underwood’s team Stephen F. Austin in the NCAA tournament. “We talked for quite a while afterwards about a lot of stuff. I think I’ve been very open and very honest in that I don’t think our guys took them very seriously,” Huggins admitted. “I thought our guys had horrible practices and as much as I tried to get them back on track I couldn’t do it. We came out really flat and they came out and hit us in the mouth.” Both these teams are built similarly. They press/trap/pressure teams into turnovers. They both crash the boards better than anyone. They both run fast tempo. The Cowboy's Jawun Evans will probably be the best player on the floor. But they also rely on Freshmen a lot, who account for 40% of their minutes. There's a few key things that I'm seeing that make me like WVU in this game. But the line movement is a big one. Betonline and another book opened it WVU-5. (Sagarin line is -4.18) It's since crashed down to -1. Most the books have the juice between -105/-110, Betonline is at -115. Is SOS important here? WVU beat Virginia(ranked #1 by KP) in their house. Okie got destroyed by North Carolina(ranked #4 by KP) on a neutral court. We just saw Virginia handle Louisville(ranked #8) in Loui. What do you think Virginia would do to Okie(ranked #33)? *read that at least twice* I haven't looked at any bet % numbers yet, but I can absolutely guarantee the public will be/all ready is on WVU. So why the 4 pt line move? Any thoughts appreciated Okstate beat WSU shockers by 20 plus at their place... breaking a 42 game win streak or something. Okstate beat UCONN be 30+ Okstate handed Gtown their worst loss since like 1993 NONE of the games were in Stillwater....

Ok, been a while since I've posted on here. But I have a gift for you.
I haven't watched WVU or even know the line of this WVU/Okstate game. But there is some things you should know. 1. Gallagher Iba Arena is hands down the hardest place to play in the country when it is full and people care. 2. For some reason.... I haven't figured out, this game has been hyped by the university. It is a 3pm Friday game and people are asking me for tickets, which hasn't happened in 10 years. 3. The past few seasons, even with marcus Smart, support has been atrocious... UNLESS we are playing KU. As you may or may not know... Travis Ford and his terrible teams have beaten KU many times at home with crappy teams, ALL BECAUSE of GIA magic. Today, it is supposedly sold out. Underwood and the boys are pretty salty bunch. THIS GAME WILL BE THE ROWDIEST IN THE PAST 10 YEARS. Whatever the line is.... you should really really really really consider taking Okstate. We are going to come out firing on all cylinders, and yes I know Huggins and the 'Neers are really good this year, but they are walking into a death trap today IMO. Some worried about the amount of fouls that will be called.... which I would agree with in any other game. But this one will be so loud and rowdy, the refs will be influenced. I've seen it happen many times before in GIA. The refs start calling ticky tack fouls, then the fans get rabid and turn on the refs... then the refs are influenced and let them play. If you don't believe this happens in college... maybe you should start believing it. Yes I am a huge okstate fan. But thought I'd pass the information along. If you don't want to bet osu, I'd lay off entirely. It will be a hell of a game.

We are fresher, healthier and dominating line of scrimamge.
Dede is out. Mixon limping. Nearly 200 yds rushing first half. And we are playing poorly... still it is tied. The +5 2nd half line is alright.... not great bc this will be withing 7 either way. I really thinking the monelyine is your value. We will wear down their line. However, Baker Mayfield came to play today... but he is the only one. And we aren't getting to him yet. But Baker's options are very limited now. |

yeah dede did the arms flexed concussion type thing.... helmet nearly off
OU has the world lead (self proclaimed) concussion expert, and he traditionally is over cautious on these things... Dede is done Td cowboys...

If you didn't listen to me earlier..... you still have a chance to take second half moneyline on Okstate winning
Dede Westbrook looks concussed may not be back in. Mixon and OU can't run the ball at all. OSU's freshman RB is having the game of his life

Take Pokes -1
Maryland beat Gtown by 1.... pokes by 20+ not big play but it will be a hell of a game to watch Evans and Trimble go at it

If you follow me.... then you already know. If you don't then you should know I own the Big12.
Write ups are buried in the threads, wrote for all the games I believe, look them up if you need them. KSU +3.5 @ TCU Late season Snyder teams playing very good. I struggled with this one at first... but I'm going to KSU. TCU's QB Kenny Thrill is flat out awful and KSU can stop the pass not the run. Take: KSU Ml and points Baylor -17.5 @ WVU Rape u is in full blown collapse. QB is out, playing a true freshman and this team has quit on their coach. Take the Mountaineers... very high line tho. WVU -17.5 Bedlam Okstate @ OU -12 I have been on this for weeks.... look at my write ups. So confident about this game I'm starting to worry myself. Take OSU in every bet Pleasers: OSU +4 TCU -4.5 Wisky -13 or something (can't remember)

Oklahoma State
Brad Underwood best record in all of basketball in first 3 years as coach with 3 NCAA tournament appearances and 2 (maybe 1 can't remember) NCAA tournament wins. Best PG in the nation IMO. With some very talented young guys, however no inside scoring and limited inside rebounding Incredibly fast pace of play, forcing unreal amount of turnovers. and some pretty good 3 point shooters. Scored over 100 in more games this year then I have seen in the last 10 years. Gave UCONN and Georgetown 20+ loses which was georgetowns worse loss since like 1992 No idea why we didn't break into the top 25 Great guard play, in your face defense, create turnovers and hitting 3's are the strengths of this team.... which happen to be thr formula for NCAA upsets.

where you getting your cincy pick?
I know you are killing it and don't want to mess up the flow.... but I know big12 pretty well. I know nothing of cincy... but playing at ISU in the hilton colliseum is very difficult place to play well

5-2 I am waiting to see if they out a line out for my OSU Cowboys tonight... so my pick will likely change if that happens But I took UNC -3 last night Don't know anything about Indiana... but I saw UNC beat my cowboys but 40 it seems. After we beat UCONN by 25+ and before we gave Gtown their worse loss since the mid-90's UNC just keeps rolling in Tall athletic guys whenever they feel... it was ridiculous. They will foul teams out all year. Take the over too |
