I find that when you lose to GSP, you never come close to another title shot. Just look at the long list of names and look what happens to them..

Just found out that gsp had a slight fever on the day of the fight. Could have had an impact on his cardio

As I am typing this I realize that Voelkers last fight was against Roger Bowling...which he won...in MID 2011. That changes thing a bit, the layoff of almost two years, first fight in the UFC and home court advantage for Cote might be enough, even though he is a terrible fighter. I just confused myself. Prediction - Cote via sloppy home grown decision I guess. Excellent prediction. I thought voelker got robbed big time! Definitely a home town decision.

A few things to note after being in attendance for UFC 158
I am wondering if I am the only one who noticed GSP almost getting rocked in the 3rd round. Nick hit Georges with about 4 clean strikes and gsp just stood there and took them. All of a sudden you see gsp back up with caution and shoot for a takedown. This fight could have been finished in the third. Also as the fight wore on I have never seen gsp as tired as he was in the 4th and 5th rounds he looked gassed and not to his usual stamina levels come the championship rounds. Also his takedowns did not look as sharpe, something is going on with gsp. Maybe it was an off night but he did not look as sharpe as he normally is. As well if you look at his face after many of his title defenses he comes out untouched, his last two fights he looks horrible, battered and bruised. This could be beduase he usually doesn't get hit often and maybe he does bruise easily which is fine but it just makes me think Hendricks is going to pose big problems for GSP more so than any other fighter. Gsp is my boy, he's my favorite mm artist to watch but I see Hendricks tko in the second.

Johnny isnt going to run over Carlos like he did Fitch and kampmann....this will be similar to the Diaz fight...stick and move, and avoiding Johnny's tremendous left cross.
Carlos via decision

You're such a can GSP. Why do you think Vegas always wins? Because nobody can beat the system. But when you have a proven winner with a track record like fever you would be an idiot not to follow. He obviously has the time to research and has knowledgable insight. Do some of your own homework before you judge anyone django

Rule 12.64 .. .direct red card offence. No question about it. Nani came in high with his boot in a reckless manner, an offence punishable by a direct red. Fever reckless challenge is punishable via a yellow card. Violent conduct or excessive force is punishable via red card. Be very specific how you word it.

there is a bit of a difference between nani's foul and ibra's foul, nani used excessive force but did not intent to injure another player, he was not even looking at the player when he committed that foul, hence the twitter debate
Ibra took two aggressive steps towards his opponent and intended to cause harm, so therefore his straight red was well deserved. I do not have a problem with Nani's red, but ive seen worse called less. |
