@StumpTownStu A week before Christmas, my Pops would take me & my little sister up to the rail yards where they had hundreds of trees. Pops would buy a tree that we could afford & our job was to pick up branches that were on the ground. We would bring all of that home. Once in the stand, we could see how barren the tree was but Pops would drill holes in the trunk & fill them with the branches we picked off the ground. To us, our tree looked better than the one in Rockefeller Center. |

So much talent & a great character. Former player/manager Brad Ausmus had this story... While playing for the Padres in 1996, Ricky was the last one to board the bus. As a veteran, he expected someone to leave him his own row of seats but there wasn't one open. "No seats for Ricky?', Henderson said standing in the front of the bus. "Ricky don't get no seat? Ain't nobody got a seat for Rickey?" "Just tell one of the kids to move" said Brad Ausmus. "You've got tenure." "Tenure?" Rickey replied indignantly. "Nah, Rickey got 15 years!"

Dropped off Christmas presents at the fire department this morning & thought... We never had anything like this when I was growing up. Our gifts came from Santa, Mom & POPS & an aunt. There was no such things as gifts from the community back in the 70's. |

@THEMUGG The POS doesn't pay his bills so why should regular Americans? He's a perfect role model for deadbeats. |

@vetdrm Wow, I had not heard that news doc. He only raced 8 times but as you point out he's daddy to almost 900 winners totalling 120 million. At 16 he was still enjoying life.

A fly on the wall heard this at today's GOP meeting... "Before we discuss raising taxes on the poor & middle class & still give tax breaks to the rich, adding 5 trillion to the deficit, taking health insurance away from millions, raising premiums by 10%, defending treason & swearing in a convicted felon, let's begin with a prayer."

Congress had an agreement on the spending bill until Muskrat made the threats. They just voted on a revamped bill but 38 Republicans voted against it. The vote was 174-235. Per Chip Roy (T-TX) said this bill would have added 5 trillion to our debt within 2 years. The POS immediately responded by saying .. “The very unpopular ‘Congressman’ from Texas, Chip Roy, is getting in the way, as usual, of having yet another Great Republican Victory — All for the sake of some cheap publicity for himself. Republican obstructionists have to be done away with,” the POS posted on Truth Social. In a subsequent post, the POS-elect said he hoped “some talented challengers are getting ready in the Great State of Texas to go after Chip in the Primary. He won’t have a chance!” I hope someone on the right will come in and share their views on these comments/threats. BTW...38 Republicans is a big number to primary |

@kcblitzkrieg Thanks for responding. I don't like threats even if the intention is to get people off their asses in Congress. Musk is a loose cannon with plenty of ammo. IMO he's dangerous.
