Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA) faced backlash after marking the anniversary of the [trump incited] Jan. 6 riots by thanking law enforcement for protecting lawmakers.

In a post on X,
Fitzpatrick acknowledged the 4th anniversary of the riot.

"On the fourth anniversary of January 6th,
we pause to honor the remarkable courage and sacrifice
of the United States Capitol Police and all who defended
our Capitol that day," the Pennsylvania Republican wrote.
"Their courage in the face of danger upheld the ideals of
our nation and reminded us of the profound cost

Two dozen Democratic-led states and cities are challenging President Donald Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship in court, a major constitutional challenge to one of the White House’s signature policies.

The lawsuits allege that a Trump executive order signed Monday violates the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which gives a constitutional right of citizenship to all children born in the United States.
