(Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Tuesday that aims to block the enforcement of state laws passed to reduce the use of fossil fuels and combat climate change.

The move is the latest in a string of [stupid] efforts by Trump's administration to push back against largely Democratic-led policies to curb carbon emissions. It came just hours after Trump, a Republican, issued orders to increase coal production.

 While myself and other intelligent Americans stand with you on that point, it is very unlikely to happen....at least until a possible BLUE WAVE in the midterms (I say only possible, not probable).....Depending on conditions then, the POS/racist/rapist/fascist/convicted felon could possibly be shown the door in his THIRD impeachment - but this time from BOTH chambers in Congress!

I kid you not, but if that should happen - salvation for America! - I will gladly take about $10,000 out of my retirement savings just to hold a mass FREE street party WITH loud music and FIREWORKS!

To your Q, neither, as I come to believe what those terms mean.

Definitely not by "hunch" or "gut feel" ....that is a ticket to Loserville!

I would call mine a "method" (not a model or system, per se) which varies among my sports. My methods in each sport revolve around assessing team performances to date, accounting for games involving KEY injuries to either team, luck breaks, "one-offs,"  the margin ov victories or losses and against what calibre of teams they achieved it, and the pertinent venue their stats-performance was achieved.

Basically,

we have a very high overall standard of living. Labor costs are NOT cheap!

Other nations, particularly Asian, have lower standards of living overall, and with that comes CHEAP LABOR.

Ergo, products produced over there are (or can be) ALWAYS CHEAPER THAN MADE IN AMERICA.

Companies from around the world, including American, relocate over there to benefit from much, MUCH cheaper labor costs in order to increase profits (commonly reflected in stocks/dividends to AMERICAN shareholders!)  It's a win for the overseas country gaining business/jobs; a win for the company profits (obviously); a win for consumers all over the world (especially America!) being able to purchase CHEAPER products; and a win for shareholders who will benefit from greater profits.

Financially, those businesses are better off staying put even with tariffs raising costs on American importers.

Americans, both middle income and lower income, definitely want to pay the CHEAPER prices. But tariffs raise the costs SIGNIFICANTLY and actually price-out many Americans who then can't/WON'T afford them.  Many import/export businesses in USA will fail/bankrupt.

The convicted felon may or may not realize it but basically he is saying " F  U  American consumers! I made stupid promises and I have to stick with it or risk losing face on Fox News "

Day started well - with the usual buybacks we typically see following huge selloffs. Market timing.  People influenced by Navarro et al, believing the market had reached bottom.  But then the racist/fascist/convicted felon opened is big mouth again...

Well therein lies the problem.....As I have noted several times the past years those who migrate toward the republican chaos party are those with FIRM beliefs in their ""WIIFM"/me, myself and I"  policy.  Immediate gratification is a cornerstone to their beliefs along with disregard for how their actions may affect "other people"  If switching to a planet saving technology/way of living has no immediate benefit for them, they are automatically against it!

Indeed our moderator has made similar points multiple times before, explaining how Liberal thinking includes compassion for others - where they would cast a vote to help other people even if it does nothing for themselves.  Conservative thinking, generally, disregards that in favor of WIIFM...

Democrats to force vote to terminate Trump's April 2 tariffs

A senior House Democrat is planning to force a vote to terminate [the convicted felon’s] steep global tariffs that have rattled American consumers and could soon raise the prices of everything from groceries to gasoline, according to a person familiar with the plans.

His resolution — which is expected to be deemed “privileged,” which means it will come to the floor despite GOP leadership opposition — would end the tariffs announced by the White House on April 2.

If it is indeed privileged, as both parties expect, the vote must come up within 15 days.

It could pass the House but the convicted felon would surely veto it. However that is not the point! Democrats want to force House Republicans to decide whether they’ll back the president or attempt to prevent price hikes, having their votes on record, for all constituents to see!
