Hey Jim, just curious, are you actually this much more confident in some of these wagers as you have been with others in the past? I've followed for a long time and I can't recall a card where you were risking such a high amount on such a large amount of fighters on a card. Just wanted to know if you were supremely confident in some of these or if you were just being a bit more aggressive tonight. Seemed like an odd card to put a ton on

Well they were only halfway thru Round 2 at the time, with Round 1 being a close round where neither guy really did much of anything. Have you ever seen Benson's fights before? The dude is notorious for winning controversial, undeserving split decisions. And with the way Bellator is trying to basically spoon-feed him a title shot that he hasn't earned yet, I'd say there was a good chance something shady happened if it went to a decision anyways. I wouldn't have just assumed his Pitbull bet was safe at that point in the fight. He also needed Pitbull to win inside the distance but also have the fight go over 2.5 rounds, in order to win a few of those extra bets, which means he needed Pitbull to win in the final couple of minutes of the fight in order to really make any money on those two wagers. Regardless, it was a crappy way to have to lose a bet, but I don't think any result is a sure thing in a Henderson fight, that's for sure, let alone one in the shadiest MMA organization.

lol I copy/pasted your exact words from you own thread and even took the liberty of increasing the font size and making all of the letters a pretty bright red color. This was done with the intention of allowing you to see exactly what you said before the game, and how you seemed to dismiss all of it after the game was over, while acting like Cleveland ML was what you wanted the most all along. Again, we all know you personally wanted Cleveland to win a bit more, simply because you are doing your rollover ML strategy and hoping to cash big in Game 7. But you also stated how much you loved GS ATS and that it was the more solid of the two plays, if anybody wanted to tail one of your bets. Some people weren't able to do the whole ML rollover thing and were simply looking for the play you felt had the best chance of hitting that night, and by your own words, that play was supposed to be GS ATS. Then you came back after the game and acted like it was simply a very tiny hedge play and you knew Cleveland was always going to win the game. That would have been information I'm sure people would have liked to hear you say loud and clear before the game. But instead, you started a thread in which you talked about the scripted talk and how you knew what the smart play was and that you even thought you had a chance of hitting the tiniest of windows with a 1-2 point Cavs victory. You wound up playing the game from all sides, tried to convince people that GS ATS was the stronger of the two plays, and then came back afterwards patting yourself on the back because you knew all along that the series was going 7 games and now you have a huge potential payout on Cleveland on Sunday. Even in your last few posts where you tried to explain yourself, you said contradicting things and remembered things incorrectly. You even caught yourself. Hello, I posted all of your comments and highlighted the key phrases so you could easily see why everyone was jumping down your throat after the game and sick of your scripted, wishy-washy nonsense. For someone who thinks the series has been scripted, you sure seem to not have a good handle on what that script is supposed to be.

Thank you to a few of you that have posted recently and made me feel like I'm not the only one that wondered if I was taking crazy pills or something. Reading some of MGM's posts have seemed to bring that feeling a lot recently lol. You're right, it's obvious he doesn't have much to say in response to my logical points, so I'll just give it up. As you said, he'll be gone after Sunday, so it's not worth the time and effort any longer. Good luck with whatever you guys play on Sunday, it should be a great game

If that makes more sense Sorry guys don't mean to confuse anyone, don't bother racking your brains here. Just follow my plays and make some money. Again, I'M NOT ARGUING ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU HEDGED, Stop grouping me in with all of the other people that seem to be whining or confused about that. That's not me. I was wanting you to address the fact that you claimed SEVERAL times, including your very first post of the day, that GS ATS was a "virtual lock" more than once. You came in after the game was over and acted like you never tried to steer people towards the GS ATS play and that all it was was a tiny little hedge attempt to win both. I know you were trying to get lucky and ultimately hit both plays. I know that. But you also acted like you knew the script and that Cleveland was definitely going to win, all while also claiming that GS ATS was a near lock play as well. So no matter what the outcome, you could easily just act like it was no big deal to you and you won either way. It's annoying and the reason why you have received so much backlash. You keep blaming it on people not understanding your hedging strategy. That's not why people are bashing you (at least not the majority). You have a great ML rollover heading into Game 7. Congratulations. But don't act like you're some kind of genius who knows what all of these outcomes are going to be, because it makes you look stupid and not credible. You have been tooting your own horn since early in the GS/OKC series when you originally thought OKC was going to win that series, and you haven't stopped making excuses or saying that "the script has changed" ever since. Each game you're guessing just like the rest of us, only you don't ever seem to fully admit you're wrong, because you find ways to play both sides throughout the series and act like you're not affected. It's tiresome and annoying. And nobody can follow your plays because your predictions and theories are ALL over the place. They change from game to game it seems. If you don't think that is the truth, then there are probably 1500 people on here that could chime in and agree with me. They all see the same thing. Nobody is going to care if you leave after Game 7. In fact, all of our brains will probably be able to relax again now that we don't have to keep reading this nonsense every day. I'd love to hear you defend any of the things you said in the bold red font above, but I know you will just pretend like you never said it and that I didn't understand your hedge strategy. |

You don't have to explain all of the hedging strategy, because we all understand what you were trying to do. But you were also acting like GS ATS was the virtual lock of the night and the play that everyone should tail if they chose to do so. Then you hop on after the game and act like it was just a "small hedge" and you won big on your Cleveland ML bet....come on man |

EVERY BOOKIE ON THIS BOARD IS ON CAVS I can tell you all right now, unless those bookies are throwing us a curve ball (which I seriously doubt, they rarely do that) then GS ATS is virtually a 100% lock tonight I think the reason so many people are giving you a hard time is because you really did play both sides before the game, looking to hedge, but also trying to appear to be a genius who knew what was going to happen. You seem to think that everyone is misinterpreting your hedging strategy. Trust me, we get it. Some people think it's dumb, others probably don't. But don't come back after the game and act like Cleveland ML was your biggest play tonight and that your GS ATS was a "small hedge." You claimed in your very first post today that GS ATS was a virtual lock. Later on in your thread you also suggested that anyone could play your Cavs ML bet or GS ATS, but that you felt stronger about the GS ATS bet. So again, we understand you were hedging, but you also acted like you were extremely certain it would be a close Cavs victory. For someone who claims to know that the playoffs are scripted and understand how each series is going to ultimately play out, you sure do post a lot of conflicting ideas and bets to go along with your theories. That's why everyone seems to have a problem with you I think. You go on and on and on about how obvious some of these scripted games are, but yet you aren't predicting the winner each game like you probably should be if you believe your theories. To top it off, you try to do one of the craziest hedges I've seen in a while, hoping for a 1-2 point Cavs victory, then coming back and claiming that the GS play was just a "small hedge" and act like you weren't completely wrong in your guesses. I think people around here are just wanting you to own up to your losses once in a while and just flat out admit you don't know what the heck is going on in these playoffs from game to game. You have gone back and forth with everything since OKC was up in the previous round. It starts to rub people the wrong way because you keep posting and putting yourself in situations where no matter what happens, you can't be wrong or it was no big deal if you lost because you magically played the other side in some fashion as well. I don't understand how you don't see any of this lol |

Right on, I just figured since you have to spend a decent amount of time typing out these extensive write-ups and answering questions, it wouldn't really take much work to simply add in your YTD record and +/- units. Seems like if you're truly here to help out and give everyone all of this information, keeping a simple record would make sense, especially if you're truly hitting around 58% over the past year. You're obviously entitled to manage your thread in the way you see fit, but I know how people are on here and a simple way to help everyone out is to maintain a record of the plays you actually post/play. The information you provide does seem legit and it's refreshing to see someone on here that seems to have a solid understanding of the lines and the action. Just doesn't seem that difficult to start keeping a record on here, especially if you are already keeping track of it on your own (you mentioned being 10-9 on posted plays). Why not just add that to the thread? Just my two cents

I've been reading these nice, detailed opinions on each game for the past week. They seem legit and good quality. However, I haven't actually bothered to follow up and track the results. I also see he doesn't have a YTD record. Does anyone have an idea of how well these plays have been doing so far? Any reason why you're not keeping a record on your plays so it's easier for people to decide whether to follow or not?

dude, I'm not even a Patriots fan and I laughed at some of the stuff you wrote. First off, the Denver game was NOT LaFell's first game back. His first game back was against the Jets in Week 7 and that was when he had a bunch of drops. The Pats played Denver in Week 12! You're juuuuust a bit off on that one. Also, you neglected the fact that Amendola was also out in the Week 12 matchup against Denver. That was pretty significant considering Edelman was already out. They lost Gronk very late in the game. And I wouldn't really classify that the Pats "still took the game to overtime." The Pats were in control of that game, up 14 early in the 4th when a scrub fumbled a punt return in the snow. None of the information you provided here is useful in any way. Your reasoning for betting the Pats is they are much healthier now? News Flash: EVERYONE KNOWS THIS. If that's the case, why is the line still New England -3 despite 75% of the bets being on the Pats? Manning is old, can't throw, Brady owns him, the Broncos barely squeaked by a banged up Pitt team. Shouldn't the line be higher than -3 then? I still like the Patriots here too, but the fact that Vegas obviously needs Denver here is a bit concerning. And your reasoning that the Pats are healthier than they were in Week 12 doesn't really do anyone any good. Everyone already knows this.

Just call them like I see them. It's not like I'm the only one that has brought something up like this with you before. If you act like an immature person who is afraid to admit he had a bad losing night to complete strangers on a public forum, then people will likely call you out, especially when you try to brag about the winning nights. I see plenty of people on here that recap losing nights as well. Not that difficult. Guess you have to have some courage to do that though and you seem weak, like I stated earlier.

uh oh, here comes the "Saturday NBA.....3-0 Friday" thread title. Hopefully you don't go 1-6 again and screw everyone of these degenerates over, since they will surely flock to your attention-seeking thread title. Nice hits tonight, and of course, nice recap. Hope to see you recap some of those losing nights for a change

Someone
above mentioned when you apparently had a $50,000 bankroll and were betting
$1,000 per game until things went south real quick. You disappeared and then
came back and naturally reset your record like nothing happened. I’m just saying
I can see why everyone was jumping all over you not too long ago, because this
behavior seems to be a consistent pattern. You obviously enjoy the attention
and want to flaunt the good nights, but you hide and can’t ever acknowledge the
bad nights. I don’t know why either. Who cares if you have a bad night? It’s
gambling. Nobody wins every single night. It’s like you’re afraid people on
here are going to make fun of you or something. I know it’s never fun to have a
losing night and I’m sure you aren’t in the best mood, but just update your
record that night the same way you would if you had won. It’s not that hard.
But whatever, like I said, if you post a record on here, you can pretty much do
whatever you want. I won’t keep pestering you about it. Just trying to look out
for the hundreds of people on here looking for winners each night. Good luck on
your plays
|
PapaShango | 36 |
|
|
You said it yourself
though. “People want to ride streaks. Don’t be stupid.” This is exactly my
point. You go 4-0 one night, put that in your next thread, and you attract
hundreds of people on here that are looking for some winners. They come into
your thread, follow your 7 plays, go 1-6, and you don’t even bother to come
back and acknowledge the horrible night. I can see why there’s people out there
that would get frustrated by that and talk smack to you. Then you disappear for
a day or two and come back like nothing happened. No mention of the horrible
1-6 night. Nothing in the thread title until you go 4-0 again and seek
attention, looking for more views and praise.
