This just lead me to believe we are a VERY weak planet. Weak is not good. Im not trying to get into religous details bu God doesnt like weak people. Hence why many think its the end of times. God just may be fed up........just a thought there are 600 billion stars in the universe, so there are probably trillions of planets. yes, statistically speaking there is probably intelligent life on another planet somewhere. fwiw, if god spent 1 second creating each star thats almost 7000 days, nevermind the time to create planets and moons |

I do think they should have been more clear with warning about how hot the coffee is, though it probably will not stop us from spilling coffee on ourselfes.Personally i like my coffee hot , that way it last longer. mcds was heating the coffee to 180 degrees and they had already settled numerous cases of ppl being burned. a quick google search says 140 degree water will cause 3rd degree burns after a few seconds. im a big tort reform guy, but this lady absolutely deserved to win. and so does anyone else who suffered the same trauma she did from something that should be pretty mundane. i mean she needed to get skin grafts, its not like she just got a blister. the jury probably awarded her more bc shes a sympathetic victim, and if you have a problem with that here, you must absolutely hate john edwards with every fiber of your body, but also bc mcds told her to go pound sand. looking at the wikipedia page, it says the judge reduced the verdict to 600k. id hardly call that excessive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebeck_v._McDonald%27s_Restaurants |

its funny with all the responses thinking its a scam. a few years ago in NH (or maybe vermont) a woman who was lost wonders onto a guys property, still ~40 yds from his house, the guy comes to his porch with a gun and says get the f off my property. he ends up being convicted for something like intimidation. part of the prosecutions case was, she was a harmless woman.

i was playing at a 6 deck table a few months ago, i hit with 12 vs a dealer 2. some lady at the table freaked out, you would have thought i just shot her dog. i told the lady first off, this is a $5 table, if you are so great at BJ, why arent you playing higher limits. i also mention that she can go to the gift shop and buy a BJ strategy card and it will tell you to hit with 12 or 13 vs a dealer 2. she said those cards are lies and a scam to get ppl to lose more money to the casino.
i learned a long time ago to not be amazed at how dumb some ppl can be |

ive seen several ppl on various forums talk about slipping the front desk person a $20 behind your id and getting a free room upgrade. ive never dont this before and was wondering what type of upgrades are normal. i already have a suite at the mgm booked, would they upgrade me to a bigger suite? or does the $20 'only' work for ppl who book a basic room.
thanks |

shocking, dj wont even answer to what in my post was "Next time, I ban you. You will sit in the box for awhile since you cannot seem to even debate without attacking."
i will give you credit though, you are very consistent at not providing me with any facts for anything |

let me also add, that i never claimed i was boxed for being another user, YOU DID. i dont know how its possible but somehow you dont know there are internet search engines out there, or that even covers has one for their site. and i wonder why you havent responded to my last post? you are just enforcing the pattern of making false claims and running away when asked for proof. where is this person who made post 8? https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=87&sub=101032760 "As an aside, you will find I am much more likely to look for a rational discussion on this topic if the response consists of facts, figures, ideas, plans, and concepts...." cmon, dj, be a man, where are your facts? |

first off, why dont you address the root issue of everything which in case you have forgotten is why do you think its ok to repeatedly make unfounded personal claims against me and box me when i call you out on your hypocrisy? why dont you be a big boy, and stop hiding behind your internet forum moderator label, and either provide an iota of evidence of why you think im some fake libertarian, or apologize for repeatedly and often unprovokedly claiming so. secondly, wheres the name calling that led you to box me this time? |

I dont see what else i can do to have this resolved. do you think im out of line for wanting an explanation why dj can make such claims, not back them up, and then box me when i point out his inconsistencies when he asks other posters for proof of their claims? hes been dodging this issue for months now, which is fine, but once he started boxing me for bringing it up, then it became a real problem. |

you dont understand 2 concepts. 1) his projects/businesses are independent entities 2) sometimes its good to have debt. my bro-in-laws boss (a big time lawyer) just bought a big beach house, his accountant told him to only pay ~80% of it, instead of 100% of it cash, bc of the tax breaks he would get. |
