I actually think the play is Clemson +7 (or more specifically Clemson +3.5 1H), but if you want a counter argument here it goes: Clemson's weakness on O is their O-line (kind of stating the obvious), but specifically their RT & LG who will be matched up against two top 15 picks in this upcoming draft--Allen and Williams. I think Bama could dominate this match up, which could lead to some negative plays and maybe a turnover or two. Also Bama's two ILB this year are faster: Foster lost 20 lbs from last year and Evans is much faster than Ragland. I think that helps prevent some of Watson's scramble plays--6 yards vs 8 yards on 3 & 7 could make the difference in this game. Bama might use Evans to spy Watson (they did that a bit in the 2H of last years game). Honestly worried about Williams making some big plays, but Humphrey is a good corner. Although I think he is overrated, he is projected as a 1st round pick. Averrett is the other corner--its his first year starting, but I he has been just has productive as Humphrey IMO. On to Offense...Bama's QB is definitely holding them back, but its not like they leaned on their QB last year to win the game. The two QBs are just different. Coker could utilize his deep threats better and Hurts can hurt you with his legs. They have phenomenal skill players and a couple stud RBs. The O-line gets downplayed a bit, but I think they are better than they get credit for. Clemson's D-Line is on the same levels as Bama's and is deeper. Still think Bama can run enough to stay balanced on offense. Scarborough has slowly been moving up the depth chart and think he will be the premier back in this game. Think Bama will be able to utilize their TE again this year--these might be the two best TEs in CFB. Boulware cant cover Howard. Think motivation factor is equal and I actually like the fact the Sark is taking over. Bama will be better on D and O from last year, but I think Clemson will as well. Bama wont have the ST advantage though as Clemson has improved significantly and Bama no longer has a game changer returning kicks (Jackson went down mid year). I thought early in the week Clemson would win, but now I think Bama wins 27-24. Bama covers if they get a late defensive TD. These write-ups are arduous so I kind of tailed off half way through, but happy to discuss.

Boom,
Congrats on the win. Big Bama fan here and I think the play is definitely Clemson +7. I've got two bets on Clemson to win (+550) and I hedged with a futures bet a few days ago for Bama to beat Clemson (+200) for 2 units so either way Ive got some money coming in..think I'll stay away from it. Hate betting against Bama and it's going to be close...within 7 one way or the other. It all rest on how our QB plays and I think he's been overrated all season. Good, but overrated. Who you on for tomorrow? |

I think we'll have:
1. Bama 2. Clemson 3. Washington 4. BIG10 champ Dont think Ohio St gets in unless 2 or 3 lose in their championship game. They have an outside chance if Wisconsin beats Penn St. |

What do you think of the total in FSU/Florida game?

Like A&M +7...like the fact A&M played UTSA and prolly spent the week prepping for LSU while LSU was preparing for UF. Tough loss, plus its at A&M.

You need to quit watching and letting EsecPN brainwash you dude. one of the biggest mistakes " average fans " make each week is getting caught up in the moment. The " snap shot "..... Almost like a kid in a candy store... can't see the real picture. Why do think Vegas builds them big hotels? Average joes and snap shot moment guys... Just curious what you think the Clemson vs BAMA game will be if they play? I have some Clemson fried s and one predicted 45-35 Clemson...just curious your thoughts. Also, of the realistic opponents Clemson could face in the playoffs who would be the easiest win? BAMA? You think they're that bad?

jimmy...glad to see you back. Hope you make some bowl picks.
I dont think it'll be quite the blowout ND/Bama was, but I think we win by 17-21. Maybe 34-13 or something like that.

Outright Champion is a legit argument, but winning more games because you played more games is a moot point. If Ohio St. get's in, no one on the committee is going to say we picked them because they won 12 games and TCU/Baylor won 11....they played more games... I honestly could make a legit argument for all of the top 6 teams and I have no idea who they pick out of TCU, Baylor, and Ohio St...it's going to be tough for two fan bases.

Boom...let's be honest about the ACC vs SEC yesterday..
According to ESPN power rankings for each conference (I'm not sure how they could put an SEC spin on the ACC power rankings) FSU, GA Tech, Clemson, and Louisville were 1,2,3,3 (tie) respectively in the ACC power rankings going into this weekend UF, UGA, USCe, and UK were 12, 3, 11 , 13 respectively in the SEC rankings. So we aren't comparing apples to apples here. The ACC played the worst in the SEC with the exception of UGA. I'm a Bama fan, so I guess I automatically lose credibility, but the SEC is 100% the best conference in the country. Maybe not as much as the media would have you believe, but the SEC West is a gauntlet. Missouri wasn't half bad the few years before coming over to the SEC. Didn't they win or were co-champ in the BIG 12 north 07, 08, 10..they weren't exactly bottom feeders.

LOL...well Mizzou/UGA are 1 & 2 in the east and A&M/Auburn are 4 & 5.
The West has a 9-3 record against the East.
