I hope they have pride. We will certainly find out tonight if they have any fight in them.

Sorry, the UNC/MTSU total was at 67 so my above post isn't correct. But I think you smell what I'm stepping in regarding the post.

Furthermore, the total is set at 63.5 This is the highest total for either team all year (minus the miami vs div-2 school). That tells us something imo. Oddsmakers believe UNC can put points on the board.

I didn't cover Miami's offense vs. UNC's defense for a couple of reasons. Time being the first. Just simple don't have the time to type everything out and secondly, UNC's offense against Miami's defense is the most important thing here regarding this game imo. We know that Miami will be able to score on UNC. That's no mystery. UNC hasnt been able to stop anyone all year and I don't expect it to start tonight. The question is, can UNC score on Miami? I think the answer to that question will give you the ats winner.

So how is UNC going to be able to move the ball? Let’s take a
closer look at this vaunted Miami pass defense. They have accumulated their gaudy numbers
against the following: #84 ranked Florida Atlantic @ 210/gm #103 ranked Florida @ 189/gm #118 ranked South Florida @ 138/gm #119 ranked Georgia Tech @ 131/gm Hmmm. So in other
words, Miami has yet to face a team that has discovered the forward pass. UNC won this game last year 18-14 but do not
put any stock into that. Giovani Bernard
accounted for over 200 all purpose yards and those days are over. This will be Miami’s first game of the season
outside of the state of Florida and only their second road game (south florida
was their 1st if you really want to call that a road game) UNC’s back is against the wall and the
critics are getting louder. We will find out tonight if this defense is for real or not. They will be tested early and often A rowdy crowd will be in attendance and I
will be on the home dog. Good Luck UNC +10 |

I just had a nice long in-depth write up for you regarding the LSU/Ole Miss game and the injury situation. My post deleted itself like they always tend to do on this site. I will give a brief run down.
Brunetti is a go Chief is a go Bryant is fighting training staff to go Gross will probably go but limited Any other updates to the injury list and I will post them in this thread Bottom line, it's bad in Oxford. The defensive is as banged up as you will ever see and especially the defensive line. Not a good thing when you are about to face a downhill running team like LSU. Knowing this Hugh Freeze team like I do, there is no doubt they will pour their guts out on that field saturday night but the bottom line is Ole Miss is just out-manned. It was going to be a war if healthy but Ole Miss just doesnt have enough healthy bodies on defense to slow them down. As an Ole Miss fan, I've bet LSU large. They win by atleast 10 and it wouldnt shock me if they win by 3 scores.

I agree.
I'm on Rice +1.5. I hate going against RAS because they are very good at what they do but I'm riding with the steam that came this afternoon. Good luck either way

If you truly believe that a rb for a spread option team named Rice is influencing the line +/- 3 points then there is no point in me pointing out what happened to the line. But I just told you what happened.

Nobody is trying to trick anyone. RAS hit UTSA on Monday and someone very influential just grabbed the other side. End of story

Exactly. South Florida is awful and Miami of Ohio is equally as awful. A team that got beat by one and struggle against the other is now favored by 21 points over a non high school team? Makes no sense. Or does it?
Ask yourself this, do you think the Vegas oddsmakers woke up Sunday morning and said "you know what, I hate my job and my company so much, I'm going to give the bettors a gift. I'm going to make that awful Cincinnati team 21 point favorites over another college team. Your welcome bettors and kiss my behind company" or Do you think the oddsmakers see a team that is returning home for the first time in a month where they have outscored their opponents 108 to 16. Do they see a team that is ranked 4th in the country in overall defense going against a team that is ranked 120th in defense? Maybe they see said team that's ranked 120th in defense is also ranked 104th in overall offense and is now having a true freshman make his first start at quarterback on the road. Maybe they see a team that hasn't given up an offensive touchdown in 10 quarters, that has better talent, playing in front of a home crowd as a team that's due to beat the doors off someone. I don't, it's one or the other. 21 points? Geez

Cincinnati is favored by 21 points against a team with a pulse? The same Cincinnati team that just got beat by South Florida? The same Cincinnati team that was tied 0-0 in the 4th with Miami of Ohio? 21 points? Ok. That's all I needed to know. Cincinnati rolls
Cincinnati -21

Georgia doesn't have a slight edge at Running back IMO.... they have a HUGE advantage....and thats not slighting LSU at all... .Georgia is loaded. I could go on and on...but you get the point Beckham and Landry will be the two best wr on the field and it isn't really close, especially with Malcolm Mitchell lost for the season. This is fact. Murray is 2-9 in his career against top 15 teams. He gets the edge but Mett has the better skill set and with the proper coaching that he is receiving this year, it's beginning to show. Have you ever watched Jeremy Hill play? Gurley is impressive and I give him the edge but if Gurley is the #1 rb in this game, Hill is #1b. Blue/Magee/Hillard are no slouches as backups either. Same as Marshall. As I said, im leaning UGA due to several reasons, one of which is Mett's 1st true road start of the season against a an already tested UGA team but let's not act like LSU will be rolling in with a bunch of scrubs on offense. They will have an offensive coaching edge (Cameron > BoBo) and talent/experience is pretty close to even. It makes me ill to sit here and defend LSU but their is no denying the talent they have on offense this year.

LSU is every bit as talented as UGA if not more. WR = adv LSU and its not even close, especially with MItchell out. Landry and Beckham are the most dangerous 1-2 punch in the country. QB = adv UGA on experience alone. Mett is the better NFL prospect and is showing what a little coaching/play calling can do for him OL = even. both experience and both have studs. LSU's La'el Collins is the highest rated though. RB = slight edge to UGA but Hill is right there behind Gurley. Hill doesnt have the straight ahead speed as Gurley but Hill has more power. Both are great but UGA will get the slight edge here just because HIll might get arrested before game time. I could go on but you get the point. |
