Denmark had lost only once in last 4 against this Portugal team and in that loss, 1/2 their starters didn't play. 

Was a good win for Portugal but as Van has pointed out, this Danish defense is not good....

Both Ronaldo and Van Persie made a similar mistake after beating the defense. They simply shot too soon. There was no pressure on either of them. Ronaldo at least controlled the ball, Van Persie did not have to shoot that on the first touch, he could've brought it down and made a move on the keeper. Very disappointing at the finishing.

As of right now, Holland needs Germany to beat Denmark AND they have to beat Portugal 3-0...obviously this is subject to change pending the final result.

Basically, yes.

Their only hope would be a 3 way tie on 3 points with Portugal and Denmark.

That would involve them beating Portugal, Germany beating Denmark - and then having the highest goal differential AMONGST THE GAMES WITH PORTUGAL AND DENMARK ONLY.  That is the new tiebreaker.  Goals with Germany wont count.

I was just trying to figure that out. Here is what I found. Can someone confirm if my understanding is correct.

The tiebreakers first consider the relationship of the 3 teams that are tied, therefore, the results vs germany (assuming they beat denmark) won't factor in.

All 3 will have 3 points, so points is even.

Next, it goes to goal differential amongst the 3 teams.

As of now, Holland is -1, Denmark is even, and Portugal is +1.

Therefore, if Holland beats Portugal by 1, Portugal gets in. If Holland wins by 2 or more, Holland gets in, regardless of the result today.

I am not considering other scenarios like Denmark winning or drawing. But can someone confirm I understand this correctly.

like the over as well. Pinny has over +3.5 at plus $....

Everyone thinks Dutch will substitute another striker for one of it's defensive midfielders which *should* open more chances.... for both teams (Dutch pressing and Germany counter). 

Kinda think 2-2 exact score is worth a flier. Dutch have to be in desperation mode. And they better fix that left side....
