only been using the program for a little over a week. That being said I doubt I could help much with the Excel spreadsheet. I will also try to answer any questions that have not yet become mundane in this thread.

Rough,
First of all, i appreciate you posting this new method and then taking time to answer all the questions posted by our fellow bettors.
Unfortunatly, its only now that i came across your post and been trying to figure it out.
Can you please elaborate on the SOS. You have mentioned that you get the numbers from USA today. They have catagorized the ratings in 3 parts, which one do you use. Also right now its showing the rating for week 7, i guess i have to wait till they update that.
I know this might be too much to ask, but can you please analyze a game from week 8. Would help me out a lot and also will help the others confirm if they are doing the calculations correctly.
Once again from all of us, we appreciate your efforts.
Thanks.

2) What are the numbers in the brackets (191.6 (R) (+28.8) 247.8 (P) (+37.6) 10.9 YPPT (-1.3)

Use the column SCHEDL
Hey LetsBeatDaHouse got to this website
https://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin.htm
On the NFL ratings sheet look under the column that says SCHEDL. This is the SOS rating.

Thank 3rdLeg.
Now what are the figures in the brackets?

If you go to statfox.com and compare this game matchup (which I don't know if you still can since the game has already been played) the numbers in the brackets are the difference between Boise St.'s offensive average and the opposing defense's average. The (R) stand for Rushing average the (P) stands for passing average. Same for the YPPT or yards per point. Likewise with Tulsa's defensive average and the opposing offense's average.
This is also the argument that VGPOP has had in stating that statfox's statistics are not only incorect in themselves but they also take into account stats that are achieved when playing Div 1-AA teams. He has found a way to disregard Div 1-AA stats giving a truer result. I've been trying to find a better stat site but with no result.
Hope this helps.

3rdLeg,
If its just a difference (thats what i thought it was as per post# 1), shouldent the number in the bracket be 191.6 - 95 = 96.6. Also where does the bracket number for the Tulsa D come from. Am sorry, but i am still confused
Can you please post some numbers for the Giants @ Philly game. That way i will have the current numbers and will help me understand this better.
Thanks for your time. Much appreciated.

Guys thanks for the picks!!!
Seattle with a lot of injuries up front.
Oak may have a qb change.
Otherwise I am on board. The NYG are the kind of team that I love this program for. I would have thought the Eagles. This is cool insight, thank you very very much for the work.
