I'm taking notes on almost everything as of now(lines, totals, team totals, results) trying to see if i can find some patterns or clues that the lines can give us.

Sure. No problem on elaborating.
First of all as a long time sports better you know well that each game has dynamics of its own and there is no connection of what we've seen of the Lakers lately and what is going to be tonight in Memphis since such ego maniacs as Kobe will do anything to put aside the desire of getting rid of D'Antoni for one game and will fully focus on savoring his reputation as a leader of the team that is sinking faster than Titanic. As the part of it he already summoned the public attention to his battle against another ego maniac Howard by publicly demanding more Pau Gasol on the floor. And the timing is not accidental. It is on the evening Pau will be facing his younger brother who not by an accident is a key player on Memphis team. 
So, the motivation factor is there and if with a win Kobe can prove Howard's nothingness  - he'll do it. Artest will support it as well the other role players. Pau will be at his best and incidentally his brother - won't.
Now to the Grizzlies who are riddled with the trade rumors over luxury tax in regard of Z. Randolph and happy  - have really no motivation to destroy the team who is not at its prime. May be if the Lakers would be coming on the heels of a great run - then the Grizzlies would be looking for a strong outing - but as I read and study today's Grizzlies comments in the press - I can't say theu are really up to this game. Contrary to the Lakers. This is also a chance for Nash to prove he's  not a dead horse as of yet against the team he played well in the past.
The line has been dropping since it was released by LVSC at Memphis -5 and is now at -4 without being doctored by the books. That means big mopney is on the Lakers who do not enjoy the general public support.
If nothing extra ordinary happens - the Lakers will not lose 4th game in a row.

I'm thinking about it. The only concern is that the Spurs and NBA has realized the public has been cashing on their second half and fourth quarter plays and in the last games they are playing different  opening strong and closing weak

The game in Memphis is one of many games on board tonight - so - we can also focus on other games as win or lose - that is only 2 unit play

You can discuss angles of motivation all you want with the Lakers Mavin, plus line movements and where the public is vs line movement but respectfully it becomes much simpler, the Lakers team is a mess and you don't fix problems internally or through motivation over a period of days or even weeks. When Miami got Lebron, Wade, and Bosh it took them well in to the following season to finally figure it out. Lakers are not there or even close. If you want to discuss motivation brothers don't lay down for each other. Mark Gasol is a better player than Pau and will be motivated just as much tonight to prove he is the better Gasol and home court belongs to Memphis.

I think it is sometimes a little  simpler to view what really is happening with a team than to try to over think our plays.

I like way the Cats have been playing of late, and Atlanta stinks on the road.

Tor +10.5

Big layoff may have hurt the Heat, and this is a lot points against the Raptors who have been playing very competitive of late.

Chi -6.5
Detriot is in 3rd game in 4th night and back-to-back. Chicago has owned Detriot in recent years.

Memp -4.5

All trends favor the Grizz, and Lakers are a mess

Hou -3

Houston could be back on track, and they have revenge in mind.

N.O. +8.5

7-1 ATS for the Hornets in division, and Spurs like point shave.

Ind +1

Blazers are just lost right now, and Ind will dominate the paint.

I can see both side of a good argument here for the LAL vs MEM game.

I'd rather see you discuss SAC and whether or not the WIZ are still a value at UTAH tonight. I see those as better value games.

I didn't bet this game but here is what I think. The Utah Jazz are a good home team. I have liked the way Wash has played lately and covering a lot of spreads. I tend to lean towards the trend of a team playing well and with confidence. I like getting 7 points with a Wizard team playing well with Nene and Wall. The confidence of the team is good. I like these criteria and they have been hanging with the best of the NBA lately. I would lean towards taking the points with  the Wizards.

I do not like the Kings here they have a terrible record against the Suns at home. You never know what your going to get with Cousins. He plays well the Kings are the play but you never know what your going to get with Demarcus Cousins  for me lean Phoenix.

I'm only on BRK right now and not feeling as good as I felt earlier about it and thinking I might make a small play on the WIZ too.

The WIZ have covered 9 of their last 10. In fact, the numbers are pretty impressive over that stretch and during their last 5 their numbers are almost equal that of the JAZZ. 

Losing on the road to the LAC by 7 was a big statement that no one is going to blow them out again.
