Keep up the great work and keep learning everyday.

Note that I had to deprive Ridibets of some bets as he placed them from work or did not reason them - otherwise he would have carried the record of 22-3

AKA Office Space! Great movie haha
Great run btw! I've took a break from individual games and been trying to do some series betting
Question for anyone on the thread: if the pacers and heat advance to play each other in the east finals, what do u think the series price would be for the heat to win? Currently on my book, heat are -630 to win east and pacers are +700. If they matchup, you think heat would be -400 or -500? Maybe lower?
My reasoning first assumes that pacers and heat will meet up in the east finals. I was thinking about putting some money on pacers +700 to win the east and then middling that when they matchup with the heat so I can guarantee money either way as I believe pacers have a shot to beat the heat, but not sure how it would go.
I'm not the most veteran bettor so I don't know if this is a dumb idea or possibly profitable? Should I just put more on the pacers winning the Knicks series at -230?
I respect the dedication Mavin and the regular cappers show in this thread and I value your knowledge that you've gained throughout the year

if you think the odds will get cheaper for the heat then go ahead and play indy +700. i dont see how the heats odds gets cheaper the closer they get though? especially with public perception being a big part of the way the books sets the odds.

I am on the Knicks so have not really thought about it. However if you think Pacers at advance you should take more on the series- I have some nice parlays riding on the Knicks series so I may be hedging with some Pacers but there is just something about the pacer that does not sell me. I don't think the Knicks are playing with enough passion except for game 2 and not because of the big win but because you saw them flying to the ball and getting the boards. I think the Bigs can only keep making those shots for so long for the Pacers but we shall see what happens. Be well.

im pretty much leaning the same way, but i feel for the memphis game its almost not worth placing a pre-game play. the way the games have played out okc will probably have the lead at some point in the first half which will give a better live in-game line to bet on. that total is also pretty low, but 3 out of 4 have hit under that total.
i like miami -7.5 also but i feel like chi first qtr or first half might be a better play esoecially after the back to back losses.

I agree 100% with you, sometimes you may even get a + line on Grizz- however the nature of system requires that if I feel strongly I place the bet before the start in order to be able to do the open spot parlays. Then I can hedge accordingly and add or make other plays live.
Heat always seem to start slow but on the last loss they did not do well on 1q or 1h v. bulls. So the fact that the Bulls lost doest not mean they will have the 1q or 1h because last game they lost and had those two things working for them as well.
Everyone on TV analysts etc keep saying that the Pacers should be the team to beat the Heat because they are physical- How much physical short of calling macho man and hulk hogan can you get with them that the Bulls have not already done. I think the Heat are a very good team and no longer rely on James or Wade to have 30-40+ pt games to win, that shows the evolution they thought would happen when they first brought in the big 3- they may lose tonight they may win, they may cover they may not but I backed the bulls first two games spread- won one lost one-
I agree with you on 1q and 1h lets see how it goes tonight- also PM me about other stuff we spoke about before.

I have been betting 1H against MIA for awhile now. It's been a great money maker. If I can get +4 or 4.5 today, I will be on it again.
Ever since the streak they had was solid meaning over 10 games it seemed like they lost all 1Q and all 1Hs- then they say oh there is a game today sorry I thought it was practice and they turn it on- nice to watch not nice when you are betting on them. Thats why I took the first two game spread on Bulls- of course no trend is perfect and those that look perfect I dont like.

What's interesting is that the line opened at 188/189 for CHI MIA game. Last 2 games we saw 193 and 198 points on the board. Now OU is at 185.5 points and it is not like the public is pounding under here.
