Angles, edges, scams, call them what you want. If you're betting on pitcher props early, there are always a handful if you dig into the matchups.
With this article, I highlight the best pitcher angles to look into for that day's slate and how to apply that information to the many pitcher prop markets at your disposal. You might not reach the same conclusion as I do but the data is the most important part.
Let's scam some MLB player props and starting pitcher angles for Thursday, October 10.
Josh's best starting pitcher edges: October 10

Today’s best SP angles
Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers
The angle: Cleveland is the better team, has its ace going, and has seen plenty of this Detroit bullpen.
I'm dying on the Cleveland Guardians' hill. This is an offense that has not scored a run in 20 innings despite only seeing one starting pitcher. They've scored in just two of the total 26 innings, but they're still getting my money today on the moneyline.
Why? They are the better team.
They've seen the same bullpen arms all series long and not scoring at this rate vs. that quality of opponent is not easy to do. The bats have to come around today vs. a Detroit Tigers opener who has yet to be named. This series is coming down to Game 5 where the Guardians will have to beat Tarik Skubal.
That's how this drama works.
Even in yesterday's 3-0 defeat, the Guardians went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. The middle of this lineup is too good to keep throwing up donuts. Game 5 is coming.
The move: Guardians moneyline (-125 at Caesars)
New York Yankees vs Kansas City Royals
The angle: The odds of getting 18 outs in a move-on game are low.
New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole went 15 outs in Game 1 and wasn't even that great, giving up seven hits and four runs on 80 pitches. His outs market today is 17.5 and is only paying -105 to the Under, which is a steal with how shallow starters have been going.
In Game 2, Carlos Rodon lasted just 11 outs, while Clarke Schmidt went 14 outs and 71 pitches last night. The bullpen is not overworked thanks to the day off on Tuesday and Cole will have to twirl a gem to get anywhere near this out total.
I'm surprised this number is not at 15.5. THE BAT is projecting 14.6 total outs on 80 pitches. Please force a Game 5.
The move: Gerrit Cole Under 17.5 outs (-105 at bet365)
