MLB sharp money and line movement report
By Patrick EversonNew York opened a slim -110 favorite this morning at FanDuel and quickly rose to -130, where the moneyline stands at 12:30 p.m. ET. But it's not overwhelming Mets action, at 59 percent of bets and 58 percent of cash. The total went from 8.5 (Under -120) to 9 (Under -118), even though 87 percent of early bets and 75 percent of early cash have fallen on the Under.

Starting pitchers
Kyle Wright (0-0, 4.15 ERA): Wright has only started one game for the Braves this season, and that was a 4 1-3-inning outing against the Chicago Cubs on April 16. The 25-year-old gave up two earned runs in that game, and he also struck out five in the process. Considering how little time Wright has spent with the team this year, the Braves would likely be happy with another performance just like that one.
Tylor Megill (0-0, -.-- ERA): Megill is making his MLB debut tonight and has a 3.06 ERA in Double-A and Triple-A this year. Megill is the 21st-ranked prospect in New York’s organization, and he is said to have some real fastball velocity and good movement on his breaking balls. However, this is definitely a tough spot for a pitcher to be making his first start.

Moneyline pick
While Wright isn’t exactly the most inspiring option in the world, he has started 13 games in his career and he isn’t going to be flat-out overwhelmed in a game like this. Last year, Wright also pitched 9 2-3 scoreless innings against the Mets.
He knows how to get some of these New York hitters out, and that has to have Atlanta feeling somewhat good heading into this important road game.
On the other side, Megill will be making his first career start. The righty has a ton of talent and has pitched well in the minors this season, but going out and pitching against a very good Braves team is a totally different beat — especially in a rivalry game.
Atlanta also has quite a few hitters that like to go against right-handed starters, with Freddie Freeman and Austin Riley being two of them. Also, Ronald Acuna Jr. can hit anyone and he’s going to be extremely intimidating to a young guy like Megill.
PREDICTION: Braves (+110)
Over/Under pick
There’s really not a whole lot to say when looking at this one. While the Mets have one of the worst offenses in baseball, they do get to face a somewhat rusty pitcher in this one. It’d be surprising if they can’t put together a couple of nice rallies against him.
The same goes for the Braves in this game. Atlanta is facing a guy that is making his first start at the big-league level, so there should be a ton of nerves on Megill’s end. The Braves have scored more runs than all but 10 teams this year, and they have played fewer games than most of those teams.
Atlanta will be eager to go out there and get a crack at this rookie.
PREDICTION: Over 8.5 (-110)
