Cris Cyborg is a legend in the MMA game, and she'll dispose of the younger challenger, Larissa Pacheco, with relative ease.

Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco is the co-main event of this weekend's PFL Super Fight card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Pacheco is a formidable opponent, but my Cyborg vs. Pacheco predictions expect the legend to pull off the upset victory on Saturday, October 19.

Cyborg vs Pacheco prediction and pick

Fight analysis

Not only is Cyborg one of the best fighters in women's MMA history, but she's still one of the top active fighters today despite nearing 40.

Cyborg is an old-school striker with excellent boxing and legitimate power, allowing her to hurt and finish opponents at any point during a fight. With almost 20 years in MMA, she's seen it all and faced the best talent promotions have to offer, with her only losses coming in her pro debut and to Amanda Nunes in the UFC.

Despite her age, Cyborg has shown no signs of slowing down since joining Bellator, where she’s dominated the division with four title defenses — including a first-round knockout of Cat Zingano at Bellator 300 last October.

In the interim, she returned to boxing, winning two knockout bouts over lower-level competition, so she won't be rusty going into this fight. However, Pacheco is also on a strong run and may approach the fight more strategically rather than engaging in a brawl.

Pacheco’s most notable win is a decision over Kayla Harrison, who may soon contend for the UFC bantamweight title. In that fight, Pacheco avoided Harrison’s grappling, exposed her limited striking, and demonstrated control across five rounds.

Known for her solid conditioning, Pacheco has also showcased her striking with 11 knockouts. Having competed as high as lightweight, she may hold a physical advantage in the cage.

While Pacheco has looked impressive recently, I don’t like anyone’s chances against Cyborg in a striking match. Cyborg is also exceptionally hard to control on the mat for extended periods. I'll side with the seasoned veteran to defend her title with a win.

Best best analysis

I don’t doubt the challenger can give Cyborg trouble, but the champ's superior striking — along with her experience and finishing abilities — doesn’t give me much confidence Pacheco can last the distance like she did against Harrison.

As the rounds go by, Cyborg will wear Pachecho down to the point where she’ll be slowing down beyond the third round and ready to get finished.
