DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for January 28

Bucks Damian Lillard 26.5 points: MORE

Damian Lillard is having a great campaign for the surging Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 25.2 points per night on 38.3% shooting from 3-point land. The guard is on a heater right now, scoring more than 26.5 points in three straight, putting up 29, 29, and 35, respectively.

Tonight is a homecoming game for Lillard as the Bucks visit the Portland Trail Blazers at his old stomping grounds. Dame also finished 26 and 25 points respectively before this recent hot streak where he’s surpassed tonight’s total. There’s always more motivation when you’re facing your former team, too.

Hawks Trae Young 23.5 points: LESS

Trae Young is the Atlanta Hawks’ best player but his points per game are down this season, averaging just 22.8. Trae has registered less than 23.5 points in three straight, posting just 13, 18, and 16, respectively. Atlanta faces the Houston Rockets tonight, a team known for their stout defense.

While Houston’s perimeter defending isn’t as strong, Young is struggling to score. He’s also averaging just 20.9 points at home compared to 24.5 on the road — the Hawks are hosting the Rockets. He'll be kept at bay.

Jazz John Collins 7.5 rebounds: MORE

John Collins is one of the Utah Jazz’s best rebounders, averaging 8.4 boards per game. That’s second on the team behind big man Walker Kessler. The Wake Forest product has compiled more than 7.5 rebounds in four straight outings, grabbing 9, 11, 9, and 12, respectively.

The Jazz are facing the Golden State Warriors, who are toward the bottom of the Association in opponent rebounds allowed. Collins had seven rebounds against them earlier in the campaign and has averaged 10.5 boards in January — his best month of the season.

Lakers Austin Reaves 6.5 assists: MORE

Austin Reaves has seen his numbers jump across the board with an increased role in 2024-25. Aside from his career-best 18.1 PPG, he’s also averaging 6.1 assists. While Reaves has dished out more than 6.5 just twice in his last five, he finished with six assists in two others.

The Philadelphia 76ers are the Los Angeles Lakers’ opponent tonight and they’re Bottom-10 in opponent assists allowed. Reaves dished out seven assists against the Sixers earlier this season and he’s averaging 6.9 assists in 12 January appearances.

Warriors Buddy Hield 2.5 threes: LESS

Buddy Hield was thriving early in the season with the Warriors but he’s struggled over the last couple of months. Known for his ability to make it rain from deep, Hield is shooting just 31% from downtown across December and January. This month, he’s converting only 2.3 triples on 7.3 attempts per night.

The ex-Oklahoma Sooner has finished with less than 2.5 threes in four of his last five outings. In two of those games, he made just one triple in one while failing to drain a triple at all in the other.

76ers Tyrese Maxey 29.5 points: LESS

Tyrese Maxey’s total is very high tonight against the Lakers, but it’s understandable. Across his last five games, he’s averaging 30.6 PPG. During that span, Maxey has scored more than 29.5 twice while finishing with 29 points in one of those games, too.

However, Maxey is averaging just under 25 PPG versus the West and 22.2 points against Pacific Division opponents. LA is also a respectable team at defending point guards, allowing only 23.3 PPG overall. Of course, Maxey will make an impact, he just won't hit a 30-piece.
