We have nine games on the slate across the Association for February 1, and I’ll highlight three of my entries from a matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. Players included are Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Rui Hachimura.
Elsewhere, I’m expecting Jalen Williams to continue his brilliance for the first-place OKC Thunder as they host the Sacramento Kings.
Here are my best NBA picks for DraftKings’ Pick6.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for February 1
Jalen Brunson 25.5 points: MORE
Jalen Brunson is averaging 25.5 points on 40.5% shooting from downtown. While the guard has scored more than 25.5 points just twice in his last five, one of those games he finished with 25.
As for the Lakers, Brunson has yet to face them this season. However, the Villanova product absolutely torched LeBron James & Co. in 2023-24, averaging 32.5 ppg across two meetings.
Rui Hachimura 4.5 rebounds: LESS
Rui Hachimura is making his presence felt on the boards in 2024-25, averaging 5.2 rebounds per night. That’s his highest total since Year 2 in the Association. But Hachimura has registered less than 4.5 boards in two straight after grabbing more than tonight’s total in three in a row before that.
The Knicks also allow the fewest opponent rebounds in the league, and he only averaged three boards against them last season.
Tyrese Haliburton 8.5 assists: MORE
Tyrese Haliburton has only dished out more than 8.5 dimes once in his previous five outings, but hear me out.
The Pacers take on the Hawks this afternoon, a very poor defensive team who struggle to defend the passing lanes. Atlanta is 25th in the NBA in opponent assists allowed. Also, Haliburton carved them up last season, averaging a mind-boggling 15.7 dimes across three matchups.
Malik Monk 2.5 threes: LESS
While Malik Monk is averaging 18 points per night, he’s only shooting 33% from long range, averaging 2.3 makes on seven attempts per game.
Monk has drained more than 2.5 triples in two of his last five but also failed to sink a single trey in two of those games, too. It won’t get any easier tonight either, as Sacramento visits the dominant OKC Thunder, who hold opponents to a league-low 32.9% clip from beyond the arc.
Jalen Williams 22.5 points: MORE
Jalen Williams was just named an All-Star for the first time in his young career, which highlights just how great he’s been. The ex-Santa Clara standout owns averages of 21.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
On top of that, Williams has put up more than 22.5 points in four consecutive appearances. He balled out for 28 points in one meeting already with the Kings.
Karl-Anthony Towns 24.5 points: LESS
Karl-Anthony Towns isn’t playing his best basketball at the moment. He’s scored less than 24.5 points in four of his last five, staying below the 20-point mark in three of those games as well.
He didn’t exactly shine against the Lakers last season while with the Timberwolves, either. The big man averaged a mere 15 points in two contests vs. the Purple and Gold. All signs point to another quiet evening for KAT.
