Monday, December 16 brings a rather quiet slate in the Association, with just six games across the league. There aren’t too many quality teams in action either, except for the high-flying Cavaliers, who still own the NBA's best record and face a Nets team that just traded away Dennis Schroder.

Below, we'll dive into our best NBA picks for DraftKings’ Pick6. Of course, we’ll have six entries in total and you can either choose a set of three at a time or six together.

DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for December 16

Knicks Tyrese Maxey 26.5 Points: MORE

With Joel Embiid sidelined and Jared McCain suffering a brutal knee injury, it's time for Tyrese Maxey to shine. He's been the team's best player this season, with a 30.5% usage rate. And while he hasn't surpassed 26.5 points in five contests, he'll have no choice but to be busy tonight.

Knicks Cade Cunningham 9.5 Assists: MORE

The Detroit Pistons may be struggling again, but Cade Cunningham is proving his worth. While his 23.6 points per contest are impressive, the number that stands out is his assists.

He's averaging a career-best 9.3 dimes, and the former first-overall pick has put up more than 9.5 in two of the last three games and eight of his last 10. In fact, Cunningham has dished out double digits in assists in 11 of his previous 15 appearances. The court vision is top-notch.

Knicks Bam Adebayo 34.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists: MORE

If you didn’t know by now, Bam Adebayo does a little bit of everything for the Miami Heat. That’s why this entry holds a ton of value. He's surpassed the 34.5 mark in three straight games, and his season averages sit at 16.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

The last time he faced Detroit, the big man posted a stat line of 20 points, 12 boards, and three dimes, which, of course, just surpassed this mark. Adebayo is playing quality basketball right now, and the Pistons are allowing over 23 ppg, 13.6 rpg, and 3.9 apg to centers this season.

Clippers James Harden 22.5 Points: LESS

There was once a time when it felt like a guarantee that James Harden would ball out for 25+ points per night, but those days are gone. Although he’s the top option on the Kawhi Leonard-less Los Angeles Clippers, The Beard isn’t always consistent.

Yes, his 21.4 points, 8.4 dimes, and 6.7 rebounds are respectable, but Harden has registered less than 22.5 points in back-to-back outings. He had just 20 against tonight’s opponent in late November and averaged just 9.7 points against the Jazz last season. I’m banking on a quiet night for the veteran.

Knicks Andre Drummond 22.5 Points: LESS

With Embiid on the shelf again, Andre Drummond will be back starting at the five for the lowly Sixers. Drummond was once one of the best rebounders in the sport and although his 8.3 boards per night are solid, the 11.5-rebound total tonight is steep.

Even in his last six games in the first unit, Drummond has only tallied more than 11.5 rebounds once. The Hornets are not a good team but they’re seventh in rebounds per game. Perhaps Drummond gets into double digits, but he’ll stay below 11.5.

Knicks Tyler Herro 4.5 Assists: LESS

Tyler Herro, not Jimmy Butler, has been the Heat’s best player in ‘24-25. He’s averaging 24.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. The focus tonight will be Herro’s playmaking against a Pistons team that's allowed 30.3 dimes across their last three outings.

The guard has dished out more than 4.5 assists in two of his last three games and had five assists to his name on November 12 against Detroit. This entry has all the makings of a winner at Little Caesars Arena.
