The Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors clash tonight at the Chase Center in NBA Cup group play.

My Grizzlies vs. Warriors predictions have the Dubs staying hot on home court against a depleted Memphis team still missing Ja Morant.

Keep reading for my NBA picks for Friday, November 15.

Grizzlies vs Warriors prediction

My best bet
Warriors -8 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis
Despite the departure of Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors are enjoying a solid start to the campaign. They’re currently 9-2, which is good enough for second place in the Western Conference. Golden State has also won two in a row, beating two very good teams in the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Dubs also have the best ATS record in the Association at 9-2-0, covering the number in 81.8% of their games. When it comes to facing the Memphis Grizzlies, Steve Kerr’s squad has won back-to-back contests, winning by an average of 20.5 points. Back in March, it was a 21-point blowout. Just a month before that, Golden State took down the Grizz by 20.

While eight points is a healthy spread, we have to remember that Memphis is dealing with two notable injuries. Morant is sidelined, while Desmond Bane is questionable with an oblique injury. As for the Dubs, their main stars are expected to suit up. The only player who likely won’t be on the floor is De’Anthony Melton.

I’m expecting a comfortable victory for the hosts tonight.

Grizzlies vs Warriors same-game parlay

Warriors -8

Stephen Curry Under 26.5 points

Jaren Jackson Over 23.5 points

Steph is having a respectable campaign for the Warriors. He’s averaging 23.9 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.8 rebounds on an efficient 43.2% clip from three-point land. Perhaps not the numbers we’ve seen from him in past seasons, but Curry is just eight games in.

The veteran is on a heater right now, having scored 36 against the Thunder and 37 versus Dallas. However, Curry has only hit the Over in points three times in 2024-25. Sure, the sharpshooter can get hot from long range and score 20-25 right there.

That being said, Steph didn’t play that well against the Grizzlies last season, averaging only 20 PPG. I’m not saying he won’t make an impact here – I just don't think Curry is going to erupt again. Memphis has a great defense, too.

With Morant out of the picture and Bane battling an injury as well, Jaren Jackson Jr. is the main option for the Grizzlies at the moment. Overall, he’s putting up solid numbers, averaging 22.5 points and 5.6 boards while draining 39.2% of his threes.

Since Ja has been on the shelf, JJJ is balling. He dropped a 39-piece on November 8 against the Wizards, 20 against the Blazers, and 29 on Wednesday versus the Lakers. In betting terms, Jackson Jr has hit the Over two of the last three outings.

As the star of the show for Memphis, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the big man have a nice game here. He also averaged 24.3 PPG against the Warriors in 2023-24 in three outings.
