This is an unbelievably great value! When I started writing up these picks, DeMar DeRozan’s line was set at 21.5, and by the time I was ready to send it over to the editors, it had dropped to 20.5 with no change in odds.
This one feels like easy money for a player who has been phenomenal offensively over the last three weeks.
Across his last eight games, DeRozan has averaged 27 points per game to lead the Sacramento Kings in scoring while scoring at least 21 in every contest. DeRozan has scored at least 21 points in 24 of 39 games this season, making this a profitable wager with odds that should be much shorter.
DeRozan has averaged 24.2 points on the road compared to 20 at home, and he’s gone for at least 21 in 14 of 17 outside of Golden 1 Center. DeRozan has hit the Over on this line in eight of his last nine road appearances.
Tonight’s matchup is favorable for DeRozan, as the New York Knicks have allowed opposing SFs to average 22.8 points per game - fifth-most in the Association. Trae Young has a reputation for showing up at Madison Square Garden, but DeRozan deserves that same level of recognition.
