Best NBA Player Props Today for March 28: KAT Airs His Grievances

Karl-Anthony Towns has been the focal point of the Knicks' offense in Jalen Brunson's absence, and that includes added proficiency from the perimeter. This is why we love his 3-pointers prop tonight vs. Milwaukee.

NBA player props for March 28

Kawhi Leonard Over 22.5 Points (-115 at bet365)

Kawhi Leonard is lifting the Los Angeles Clippers up the Western Conference standings with his recent play.

The superstar forward is back to logging major minutes and pouring in points, averaging more than 25 this month. Kawhi is coming off another strong showing, finishing with 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting in Wednesday's win over the New York Knicks.

The Clippers stayed in the Big Apple for tonight's battle with the Brooklyn Nets, with Leonard’s points prop sitting at 22.5 Over/Under.

He’s surpassed this bar in seven straight games, and player projections versus the Nets are painting a positive picture. Those forecasts range from 20.5 to a ceiling of 28 points from Leonard, who has been locked in during this span.

Over those last seven showings, he’s hitting at a 57.5% clip from the field, including a 52% success rate from beyond the arc with an average of 2.3 makes. Leonard has upped his action, playing almost 36 minutes per game, which is a notable uptick compared to his usage in January and February.

Brooklyn ranks in the lower third of the NBA in defensive rating and is running thin in the frontcourt, with several key forwards listed as questionable due to illness and injury. The Nets also just dropped matchups with Dallas and Toronto on their own court.

My number for Leonard comes out just south of 25 points tonight, which should have the Over 22.5 points priced around -140 or higher.

Mark Williams Double-Double - Yes (-105 at bet365)

Charlotte Hornets big man Mark Williams is always a threat to post double figures in points and rebounds, averaging more than 15 and 10, respectively, for the season.

Williams, who has 17 double-doubles in 38 games, has a great shot at padding those stats tonight against the Toronto Raptors

The 7-footer will get plenty of opportunities to pull down rebounds, considering the Hornets and Raptors rank among the worst shooting teams in the NBA (30th and 25th, respectively, in effective FG%).

Toronto also has issues keeping foes from the offensive glass, giving up almost 12 offensive rebounds and 14.7 second-chance points per outing. Williams is force on the offensive boards (3.1) and will snatch those misses for easy putbacks, powering his scoring output. He’s failed to score at least 10 points only twice in his last 15 games, but with those lower-scoring outings coming recently, his points prop is shaded a bit.

Prop markets sit at 14.5 points (Over -115) and 9.5 rebounds (Over -130), and player projections call for 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 2.5 threes (+135 at bet365)

Karl-Anthony Towns is never shy about letting it fly from long range. That’s been especially true the last two games, with KAT chucking up 14 attempts from beyond the arc. That includes a 4-for-7 outing from distance against the Clippers last time out.

Towns has had to up his involvement in the New York Knicks’ offense with Jalen Brunson sidelined for the past 10 games. He’s averaging almost 27 points in that Brunson-less stretch, with 2.5 triples off 5.5 attempts per contest.

Towns has had success versus the Milwaukee Bucks in his first season as a New Yorker. He’s dropped 30 and 32 points in two matchups with the Bucks, shooting a collective 6-for-13 from outside in those meetings.

Milwaukee could be without star Giannis Antetokounmpo (game-time decision), which would leave Bucks big man Brook Lopez alone to check KAT. Towns will draw the lumbering Lopez away from the interior with his face-up game and outside shooting.

Player projections aren’t bullish on Towns’ 3-point makes, ranging from 2.1 to 2.5. But with his increased touches and recent uptick in 3-point attempts, the +135 on Over 2.5 triples provides plenty of value.
