NBA player props for December 30
Prop bet #1: OG Anunoby Under 15.5 points
OG Anunoby is mired in a shooting funk for the New York Knicks, failing to reach double-digits in three straight games while going 11-for-30 from the floor. That 36.7% hit rate is well below his season average of 47.7%.
While the Washington Wizards might theoretically be a team that could cure what ails him, the Wizards limited him to nine points when these teams collided back on Saturday night. Anunoby played 42 minutes in that 132-129 overtime win and did not even threaten his posted point total of 15.5 for tonight.
I believe the Knicks will show a renewed focus on defense after allowing the Wizards to run through them like a hot knife through butter less than 48 hours ago. While Tom Thibodeau isn't known for taking it easy on his key players, he might just back down on the throttle a bit after the likes of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Mikal Bridges all played big minutes on Saturday.
Anunoby looks poised for a minutes deduction as that 42 minutes of action when last seen was an outlier when looking at his 2024-25 game log.
Prop bet #2: Andrew Wiggins Under 15.5 points
The Cleveland Cavaliers have won 10 of their last 11 games, and outstanding team defense is a big reason why. Prior to allowing 135 points to the Nuggets on Friday, the Cavs surrendered an average of just 105.5 points over a 10-game span.
This spells trouble for Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors. Wiggins has averaged 11.6 points over his last five overall, falling below his point prop total four times. He's shooting just 33.3% from the floor in that span, including a ghastly 25% mark from deep.
Considering the Warriors are just 4-12 across their last 16 contests, I expect the red-hot visitors to control proceedings tonight while bottling up Wiggins.
Prop bet #3: Mark Williams Over 13.5 points
Mark Williams' production continues to increase as he gets more and more minutes in December for the Charlotte Hornets.
He dropped 16 points on the Wizards two-back on a season-high 26 minutes of action and was not disgraced last time out as he tallied 12 points vs. the classy Thunder.
Williams gets the proverbial drop in class tonight as the Hornets welcome the Chicago Bulls to North Carolina. The Bulls' defense has allowed a dismal 121.4 points a night this year, better than only Washington.
Williams already faced Chicago once this year and cleared this bar with a 15-point performance.
