A couple of sharpshooters have caught my eye during today’s seven-game slate in the NBA as Jordan Poole of the Washington Wizards and Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trailblazers have been hot from three-point range.
Meanwhile, a rebound prop for Domantas Sabonis rounds out my NBA picks for Sunday, January 19.

NBA player props for January 19
Jordan Poole Over 3.5 threes
-120 at bet365
The NBA continues to trend towards a heavy three-point game and Jordan Poole has certainly taken that to heart.
The Washington Wizards shooting guard has seen his three-point makes jump from 2.4 per game last season to 3.7 this year, while his attempts are up from 7.2 to 9.1.
Poole has been especially reliant on the three since the start of December, averaging just over four makes and 10 attempts per game from beyond the arc as he converts on 40% of his shots.
The former first-round pick looks to have the hot hand as he’s coming off an 8-for-15 performance from three-point range against his former team, the Warriors, on Saturday.
Poole has drained at least four treys in eight of his last 11 contests and should have plenty of room to operate from long-range against a Sacramento Kings team that’s struggled to defend the three.
The Kings are surrendering 14.5 threes per game (28th) with opponents shooting 38.5% vs Sacramento from beyond the arc (25th).
Domantas Sabonis Over 16.5 rebounds
-110 at bet365
Sticking with the Sacramento Kings game, I’ll switch my attention over to Domantas Sabonis, who’s established himself as the NBA’s top rebounder this season.
The 6-foot-10 center/forward is averaging just over 14 boards per game but has been even more dominant on the glass to start the new year, claiming 16.1 rebounds per contest so far this month — including a season-high 28 against the Celtics on January 10.
Sabonis has snatched 16+ rebounds in six of his last 12 games and should have a pretty good chance of topping that number vs. a Washington Wizards squad that’s been weak on the glass.
The Wizards are the NBA’s worst team in terms of opponent rebounds per game (48.6) and second last in opponent defensive rebounds per game (28.5).
Sabonis will likely go head-to-head with Jonas Valanciunas (8.1 rebounds per game) and rookie Alexandre Sarr (6.7 rebounds per game), so he’ll have the clear advantage on the glass either way.
Anfernee Simons Over 3.5 threes
+105 at bet365
Outside of Jordan Poole, Anfernee Simons has been one of the league’s hottest three-point shooters this month.
The Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard is one of just 10 players averaging at least four treys per game in January and I like his chances to hit that number against the Chicago Bulls.
Simons has cooled off over his last three games but he’s still shooting over 44% from three-point range this month while dropping at least four treys in seven of his last 11 contests.
Tonight’s matchup could be exactly what Simons needs to get back on track as the Bulls have been pretty lackadaisical in terms of defending the perimeter. Chicago is giving up 39.7 three-point attempts per game — the fourth-most among all teams — and that’s an area that a high-volume shooter like Simons could exploit.
