My best bet
Anfernee Simons Over 20.5 points (-115 at bet365)
My analysis
The Portland Trail Blazers may be towards the bottom of the Western Conference, but they have a special talent in Anfernee Simons leading the way.
The 25-year-old's numbers are down a tad from last season but he’s still playing well. Simons is averaging 18.7 points per game on 36.8% shooting from 3-point land.
Heading into tonight’s matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers, Simons has cashed the Over in points in six of his last 10 outings. He registered 27 points in a tough loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, helping Portland give the Eastern Conference leaders a serious run for their money.
Simons averaged 19.7 points in February and tends to play better against East teams, putting up 22.9 points compared to 17.1 versus the Western Conference. Also, he produced the goods against the 76ers earlier in the campaign, dropping 25 points.
Philadelphia is poor defensively and allows 22.2 points per contest to shooting guards. On top of that, Simons is averaging 20.3 PPG on back-to-backs. After a standout performance against a much better squad on Sunday, he’ll do his thing again here.

Scoot Henderson Over 1.5 threes
Tyrese Maxey is having a wonderful season for the lowly Sixers, averaging 26.7 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per night. However, the guard has cashed the Under in dimes in five of his last seven games.
Since the All-Star break, Maxey is averaging six assists per night. While there’s the odd game where he’ll drop seven or more, it’s more rare nowadays since he is Philly’s primary scoring option with Joel Embiid lost for the season. While the Blazers are no prize defensively, Maxey had only three assists against them earlier this season.
Scoot Henderson is one of Portland’s top 3-point shooters, averaging 1.6 makes on 4.3 attempts for a 37% clip in 2024-25. He’s been shooting the lights out of the gym lately, cashing the Over in triples in five of his last six appearances.
The 21-year-old was 3-for-5 from long range on Sunday against the Cavs. He’s also shooting it a mile better against the East, averaging 1.9 made treys for a 44% clip. That’s compared to 33% from deep vs. the West. Philadelphia ranks 26th in worst 3-point percentage allowed, too.
