My analysis
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are 15th in the country in average possession length (15.5 seconds), while the Washington State Cougars are 33rd (16.1 seconds), so expect a lightning-fast pace and plenty of points tonight.
Washington State is just 1-6 straight up and against the spread in its last seven games. That said, the Cougars have been a different beast at home where they've averaged a whopping 87.9 ppg while going 9-2 SU and 8-3 ATS.
They're fresh off a 56-point performance on the road against Saint Mary's stingy defense but dropped 75 points on 57% shooting against the Gaels at home on January 25. That was just the second time all season they've scored fewer than 83 points at Beasley Coliseum.
The Cougars are 12th in the country in effective field goal percentage (56.4%), which surged to 59.2% in Pullman. They're also second in the WCC in 3-point percentage (37.3%) during league play.
Although the Bulldogs are solid on defense, their up-tempo style has led to them allowing 73.5 ppg on the road. They also surrendered 75 points on 53 FG% to the Cougars when these teams clashed in Spokane last month.
It's also worth noting WSU's season-long stats are a bit suppressed due to the six-week absence of guard Isaiah Watts (12.0 ppg on 38.5 3PT%) who returned at the end of January. With a healthy Watts back in the lineup, bet on the Cougars to eclipse their team total in what should be a shootout.

I'm reluctant to lay 12.5 points on a Gonzaga squad that has gone just 4-15 ATS since the start of December, but I still expect them to win by at least two possessions. After all, the Zags are 20-7 with 18 of those wins coming by double-digits.
The Zags are second in the country in efficiency at attacking the rim per ShotQualityBets while ranking 14th in 2PT% (57.7%). They'll torch the interior of a WSU side that is 320th at defending the rim and 240th in opponent 2PT% (52.4%), with that number ballooning to 55.2% in conference play.
Gonzaga forward Graham Ike averages 16.7 ppg. The majority of his field goal attempts come at the rim, and he's in the Top 20th percentile in efficiency as a cutter. The Cougars are 326th in defending cuts per ShotQualityBets and they allowed Ike to drop 21 when these schools clashed on January 11.
Calmese leads WSU with 15.8 ppg and has scored 16+ points in five of six home games during conference play. He also dropped 20 points against Gonzaga during that previous meeting.
