One of the top betting angles for tonight’s men's national championship game between the Florida Gators and Houston Cougars is the point total. Most sportsbooks have set the O/U at 140.5. We will post the betting Over/Under results below as soon as we have a final score late on Monday night.

Did the men's national championship game go Over or Under the total?

March Madness Final Four and national championship games often have lower scores than that of a regular season game. Most of these games are played in football stadiums that typically don’t host basketball games.

Many players have complained in past years about bad “shooting backdrops” and the cavernous size of the arenas. The best example came back in 2011 when UConn beat Butler by the incredibly low score of 53-41 at NRG Stadium, home of the NFL’s Houston Texans.

Florida and Auburn went Under the total this past Saturday in the Alamodome, and Houston and Duke posted a push.

Florida and Houston Over/Under records

Florida went Over the projected total 21 times this season, and went Under 18 times.

Houston, meanwhile, went Over the projected number 15 times, and Under 22 times. Cougars games had two O/U pushes.

Florida has mostly gone Over during the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Here is a look at Florida’s Over/Under results during the tourney:

  • Norfolk State (Final: 95-69, Over 154.0)
  • UConn (Final: 77-75, Over 150.5)
  • Maryland (Final: 87-71, Over 156.5)
  • Texas Tech (Final: 84-79, Over 158.5)
  • Auburn (Final: 79-73, Under 158.5)

It has been mostly an “Under-Fest” for Houston during the Big Dance. Here are the Cougars’ O/U results during the tournament:

  • SIU Edwardsville (Final: 78-40, Under 128.0)
  • Gonzaga (Final: 81-76, Over 141.5)
  • Purdue (Final: 62-60, Under 134.0)
  • Tennessee (Final: 69-50, Under 126.5)
  • Duke (Final: 70-67, Push 137.0)
