Buckle up for a second-round Region 1 showdown between the Florida State Lady Seminoles and the LSU Lady Tigers.

While tonight’s clash is the highest total on the betting boards, my Florida State vs. LSU predictions expect a lower-scoring battle.

Read on for my women’s March Madness picks for Monday, March 24.

Who will win Florida State vs LSU?

The LSU Tigers should win this game. LSU has too much offense for the Florida State Seminoles to deal with.

Flau’Jae Johnson didn’t miss a beat in her return from a three-game absence, and Aneesah Morrow is a double-double machine.

With that said, FSU guard Ta’Niya Latson leads the nation in scoring. She and her supporting cast should make a game of this, but I have LSU winning a close one.

Florida State vs LSU prediction

My best bet: Under 170.5 (-110 at bet365)

If you enjoy fast-paced, high-scoring basketball, tonight’s Florida State Seminoles vs. LSU Lady Tigers second-round Region 1 matchup might be right up your alley.

LSU broke its program tournament record in its March Madness opener against San Diego State, while FSU dropped 94 points in its opening-round win over George Mason.

LSU guard Flau’Jae Johnson returned from a three-game absence to score 22 points against SDSU. Double-double machine Aneesah Morrow and 3-point threat Mikayla Williams round out this experienced, high-scoring trio.

Florida State guard Ta’Niya Latson averaged a nation-high 25 ppg and scored 28 to lead FSU in Round 1. Latson is part of its trio of high scorers, including Makayla Tinson and O’Mariah Gordon.

Tonight’s defenses would like a word. LSU allows 37% shooting from inside the arc and 26% outside. These are exceptional rebounders with the experience to slow Latson & Co. down.

The Lady Seminoles allowed just 18 long-range attempts per game alongside a 41% field-goal percentage. They also hit the glass on both ends of the floor and won’t mind getting physical with LSU.

Tonight’s clash will be exciting, fast-paced, and high-scoring, just not as much as this total suggests.

Florida State vs LSU same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 170.5

FSU +11.5

LSU moneyline

I like LSU to win but I’ll try and sweeten this three-leg SGP with the Lady Seminoles covering the number.

Morrow typically dominates the boards, but she gets buckets on the offensive glass. FSU rebounds well enough on both ends to limit her second-chance points.

Slow Morrow, cover the spread. Just half of the Lady Seminoles' eight losses were by double-digits. Latson will get her buckets, and FSU defends well enough to keep this within the number.

However, not letting Latson run wild is all LSU needs to do to beat FSU. The nation’s leading scorer has tallied fewer than 13 points in two of three matchups, and that could be the difference tonight.
