The Florida Gators are a slim favorite over the Houston Cougars. Most sportsbooks Monday morning had Todd Golden’s Gators as a -1 betting favorite. The Gators were -110 on the moneyline and the game had a total of 140.5.

Houston had a 35-4 overall record this season. Its closest March Madness game was a 70-67 win over Duke on Saturday night. Kelvin Sampson’s crew was down 64-55 late in the game but staged an epic comeback to stun the Blue Devils.

Florida also went 35-4 this season. The Gators had a couple of their tournament games go down to the wire, as they beat UConn (77-75) in the second round, and Auburn (79-73) on Saturday.
