The Indiana Hoosiers take on the Wyoming Cowboys in the first game of the First Four portion of the NCAA Tournament tonight.
The Hoosiers must be a tad disappointed to be in this position given how close they were to making the Big Ten finals but oddsmakers expect them to advance to the first round with March Madness odds opening with Indiana as a 4-point favorite.

Spread analysis
The Hoosiers stumbled into the Big Ten Tournament losing two of their last nine regular-season games and going 3-6 against the spread during that span. But they looked sharp in the tourney upsetting Michigan and Illinois in back-to-back days before losing to the Hawkeyes on a last-second 3-pointer banked in by Jordan Bohannon.
Indiana has been inconsistent on offense but has a few nice scoring options including Trayce Jackson-Davis who leads the team with 18.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game.
It has been much more impressive on the other end of the floor where it ranks 21st in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency according to KenPom and holds foes to a 39.1 FG% — the fifth-best mark among all Power Six programs.
Wyoming is coming off a 68-61 loss to Boise State in the Mountain West semifinals on Friday. The Cowboys went 12-1 straight up (8-5 ATS) over a 13-game stretch from December 23 to February 12, but then the wheels fell off.
They are 4-5 SU and 3-6 ATS in their last nine games and despite boasting two of the best offensive players in the Mountain West in Graham Ike (19.6 ppg, 9.6 rpg) and Hunter Maldonado (18.4 ppg, 6.3 apg) they have struggled to put points on the board.
Big Ten play throughout the season was a bit rocky for the Hoosiers but they played well against out-of-conference foes and impressed against highly ranked Purdue, beating the Boilermakers in Bloomington and taking them down to the wire on the road.
With how well they have played lately (especially defensively) they should be able to lock down the Cowboys and cover this spread.
Prediction: Indiana -4 (-110)
Over/Under analysis
The Hoosiers are holding opponents to 65.9 points per game and have allowed fewer than 70 points in four of their last five contests. That's bad news for a Cowboys team that is averaging just 60 ppg in regulation over its last five games while shooting a pathetic 38.2% from the field.
Both of these teams also play at a modest pace and neither takes many attempts from deep with Wyoming ranking outside the Top-150 teams in the country with 7.5 3-pointers per game and Indiana averaging just 6.1.
With the Under 5-2 in Wyoming's last seven games, we're leaning towards the Under on Tuesday.
Prediction: Under 132.5 (-110)
Best bet
The Hoosiers come into the NCAA Tournament playing some of their best ball of the year while the Cowboys are fresh off several disappointing performances. Wyoming's shooting has been especially troubling in recent weeks and now it takes on an Indiana team with defensive versatility and lockdown ability.
That's more than enough for us to back a Big Ten school against a Mountain West program that has gone just 1-4 ATS in its last five games versus a team with a winning record.
Pick: Indiana -4 (-110)
