Recently we’ve seen roughly an average of two No. 1 seeds make the Final Four in every NCAA Tournament. However, after Baylor, Gonzaga, and Arizona were eliminated, only the Kansas Jayhawks are left standing among the No. 1 seeds.
The Jayhawks won’t have it any easier than their fellow one-seeds, as they face a Providence Friars team that won the Big East regular-season title.

Providence vs Kansas Sweet 16 props
Nate the great
The Providence Friars are averaging 30.4% offensive rebounds per game while Kansas is allowing 28.1% of offensive rebounds. Providence is going to stick around offensively in this game through second chances. It’s already going to be hard trying to score from long range, knowing that Kansas is allowing teams to shoot just 30.4% from deep this season.
On the season, Nate Watson is averaging 5.3 rebounds per game. He only had four boards against Richmond last weekend due to foul trouble, playing only 19 minutes in that game.
As long as Watson can stay on the floor, hitting over 4.5 rebounds should be easy. Watson has an offensive rebounding rate of 7.9%, plus, he’s likely going to be the tallest guy on the court throughout the game.
PICK: Nate Watson Over 4.5 Rebounds (-105 at DraftKings)
David as Goliath
The other tall guy on the court will be David McCormack of Kansas. McCormack is grabbing 18.1% offensive rebounds and 19.4% defensive rebounds. He’s become a sensational rebounder and will be needed in tonight’s game.
McCormack averages 7.1 rebounds per game and when he’s able to stay on the floor and earn minutes, he’s dominant on the glass. For example, in the Big 12 Finals, McCormack added 11 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Look for Kansas to earn a bunch of offensive rebounds in this game with McCormack leading the way in that category.
PICK: David McCormack Over 7.5 Rebounds (+105 at DraftKings)

Rock chalk
This season, Christian Braun has averaged 14.6 points per game. This line is asking for one less bucket than his average.
In his last three games, Braun has hit at least 13 points per game and is getting a whole lot of playing time. He isn’t the first option for this offense but he’s the most consistent scorer on the team. He will get over 30 minutes in tonight’s game and could potentially play a solid 35 minutes, if not more.
Braun won’t get to the line often and will need to work for these points. However, he still has an offensive rating of 114.7, which is the best rate on Kansas.
If Braun gets his normal usage, there’s no reason to think he won’t get at least 13 points.
PICK: Christian Braun Over 12.5 Points (-135 at DraftKings)
