Michigan vs Wake Forest Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Today's College Basketball Game

A backcourt like Hunter Sallis and Cameron Hildreth is difficult to deal with for any team, especially one that's still trying to gel together like Michigan. Look for Wake Forest to win this one at home.

College basketball fans are in for a treat this afternoon when the Michigan Wolverines and Wake Forest Demon Deacons tangle on the hardwood at First Horizon Coliseum.

Both sides are undefeated early on, but my Michigan vs. Wake Forest predictions expect the more experienced Demon Deacons to come out on top today.

Read on for my college basketball picks for Sunday, November 10.

My analysis

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are an underdog?

The Demon Deacons return three starters to a team that some preseason pundits have finishing as high as third in the ACC Conference. Yet, they are slight home underdogs to a newly rebuilt Michigan Wolverines side. That doesn’t make sense to me, so I’ll roll with the home dog.

Wake Forest potentially has one of the best backcourt tandems in the country. Hunter Sallis and Cameron Hildreth play the most minutes and are the top scorers for the Demon Deacons

The two are also solid defenders who like to create chaos. Their speed and experience on both ends of the floor will undoubtedly cause problems for the taller Wolverines.

Michigan rebuilt their squad after former head coach Juwan Howard was fired. Dusty May replaced Howard and hit the transfer portal hard. He’s come up with some gems, and they are 1-0 after burying Cleveland State by nearly 50.

Gems are nice, but Wake Forest has a couple of diamonds, and those two will take care of business today. The Demon Deacons may be outsized in this clash, but they have a ton of experience playing together, which will cause Michigan trouble.

Michigan doesn’t have a go-to scorer down the stretch, which will hurt the Wolverines in a close game on the road. I expect Sallis and Hildreth to dominate today and for Wake Forest to emerge victorious.

Michigan vs Wake Forest same-game parlay

Wake Forest moneyline

Hunter Sallis 15+ points

Over 148.5 (alt. total)

I like Wake Forest today because Sallis is going to go off, and the total of 148.5 makes this better than a 3-1 payday.

Sallis averaged 18.5 points last season. He’s struggled to find his stroke, but playing a heavyweight like Michigan will bring out the best in him.

Sallis getting his buckets will help fuel one side of the total, and Michigan’s height advantage will be hard for the smaller Demon Deacons to deal with this afternoon.

Michigan scored 100+ against Cleveland State. They play with confidence, and these teams play fast-paced basketball. The alternate total is eight points lower than the game total, and these two groups should easily reach 149 points.
